A number of people have expressed a desire over the years to have a very low cost web host for their nerf-related web projects. NH can now provide hosting accounts to its users with no arbitrary limitation on file types, number of pages, etc and no advertisements. This is not a site for someone who wants to run a forum or needs a database, this is a site for someone who wants to post their own mods or videos or run a clan site.

What you get:

http://yourname.nerfers.com
yourname@nerfers.com forwards to your gmail/yahoo/etc account
100MB of disk space
5GB of monthly bandwidth
your own FTP account
CGI access

What I get:

$1 per month - 2 year minimum.

Email cxwq@nerfers.com or PM me for more info.

Definitely appealing and a great option, but not for me. I feel no need to pay for such hosting, but I think this is an excellent option for other people.

Any words on getting a subdomain for a similar fee?
i.e. http://yourname.nerfers.com [without paying for the hosting?]

Could I also nominate my own services of web design like a whore?

$1 a month? Nah. I'd never sign up for that. $5-10 a year would be more reasonable. I don't really see the need for something like this. However, it could be useful if you wanted a domain name having something to do with Nerf. Perhaps you could list all the projects on a page so that they are easy to find from this site?
Yeah, I know, I'm not an active member of the Nerf community so I shouldn't even be posting. So sue me.

One dollar a month is not a bad rate at all considering what you're getting.

And 12 dollars is only two up from 10. Unless you live in a box, 24 dollars for two years is pocket change.
