Well I figure it's time to start mentioning APOC, our next great venture. Last year it was the first weekend in August, and I hope to keep it that weekend again. The Date would be Saturday, August 2nd with the rain date scheduled for Sunday, August 3rd. The war will probably go from 11-6, with a lunch break somewhere in the middle. You can bring your own lunch, or find a ride to one of the great eateries nearby.

We will get a permit this year, so we will have no problems with the security and having too many people for an impromptu gathering. I'm going to say eyewear is required, and you're going to chose to ignore me accordingly. This year pictures will be done digitally, so yours truly isn't stuck with a $65 photo processing bill (part of the reason why I was less motivated to get the pictures up). Once this conversation gets a little further along, Howard and I will set up the Apocalypse site with site pics, last year's pics, directions, and anything else you may need.

Before I get off an a huge tangent (too late), and start setting dates in stone, this would be your chance to get any type of input to the date and times of the war. Most of us have jobs and need plenty of time to get the day(s) off.

Inlitned1 and I would like to join you all, if at all possible. The ride is going to be somewhat rigorous, though...7-8 hours. Yeah...Second week in August might be better, since I might be moving into my new house still.

You know I'm coming... Sounds fine and dandy :D !

Why not extend the time from Noon to 7 or 8, since the sky will be day for a while longer?

I'm certain my dad will take PLENTY of pics that you bastards can put on the site. He took some really good ones at Reckoning, but he didn't get many of us in combat. I'll make sure that he does that next time.
Oh, and if you have any problems with the law, remember, my dad's an ex-cop.. soo.. maybe you can get out of some shiznat if you're bad kids, but I don't think you guys are... emphasis on the "don't think" part of that.

Dude, the cops are down with us. They walk up and dont even mentioned paintball, they call us the "nerf kids".

And Groove, we would be honored to have a badass such as yourself grace us with your prescence. Where are you coming from that it would be a 7-8 hour drive? Either way, it is really worth it. Ask Spoon, he came over last time, and from what I remember he had a positive reaction to the day (though this may have been since he had nothing to do with planning it).

If you are definitely interested in coming, I'm sure we could move around the date a little bit. We just need to keep it away from the end of August because the Horsemen, Fred, One Man Clan, and Langley have college to attend. If you would need any type of over night facilities, I'm sure that could be arranged.

GD, I'm all for a longer war, if everyone else is interested as well I'd say 7 would be a go. Plus if we do have any long distance travelers, we mine as well make it worth their while. Keep in mind that the park does close at dusk, so I would say that 7-7:30 would be a good ending time.

I think I have an idea about where Groove could stay, but one involves a tent, and the other might get them lost on the way to the HoJo...

My reaction to last year's Apoc would have been more positive had I been able to HIT anyone I shot at. When I got there and realized that out of 30 people I was the ONLY ONE with an automatic weapon, I knew I was in deep shit....

If I could go back this summer I would, 'cause with my brassed AT3K I'd kick all of your punk asses.

Yea well you bruised by nipple pretty badly when you unloaded that brassed SplitFire from two feet away from me and clipped me right in the ole man-tit. Bastard.

But anywho, please come if you can. Hell even bring that AT3K. Bruise both of my chest ornaments while you're at it.

Yeah, it was fun to meet ya, Spoon. You're truely an awesome dude just cause of your down-to-earth ness...

That and when you yelled at Langley when he shot you although you had your Powerclip pointing to the sky and you yelled out, "ASSHEAD! Don't you see that my gun's pointed to the sky? That could mean two things! Either I'm shooting up to God, or I'm out. And I highly doubt I'm doin the first!"

I only remember that cause I laughed hard as hell....

August 2nd and 3rd sound good to me, let's hope the Horsemen and LGLF can make it. If not than we just have to switch the dates to something else. Anyone talk to Hersh lately?

I don't know about Fred yet, but I'm taking a summer coarse that ends during the week after the 2nd and 3rd, So I'll prob'ly be cramming Trig into my cranium all weekend for exams. I have to check my schedule again to find out when the exams are and when exactly the semester ends, but I think it would be better for me if it were the next weekend after. (9th & 10th?)

P.S.- I don't have internet access outside of school for the next three weeks, so I don't know how often I'm going to be able to check back here untill then.

Afternoon gals. I hope to be in attendance this year, but we shall see about work and such. Most likely I will call out sick and make an appearance. I will know for sure as the date approaches.

After thinking about the date conflicts that we have on hand, we should probably move the date the 9th of August, with the rain date set as the 10th.

I think the 10th would probably be the better date as myself, Ash, and Death will all be away from August 1st to the 9th. But it's just a suggestion.

Would you rather I re-phrase "rain date" to "Day in Case of Hurricane date?"

I honestly don't think I've been to a nerf war when it didn't rain for at least a few min. C'mon. If the state of New Jersey sank into the ocean and formed a seperate radioactive-swamp-garbage-contenent where zombie hedgehogs rule, we would still have a nerf war. In fact, this may have already happened.

I'd just like to say that I'm probably going. I live in central New Jersey so it's not that far. I'd probably be going with about 4 other nerfers.

I think the date is settled as Sunday, August 10th so Famine, Ash, Death, Langley, and possibly Groove and Infinited1 can attend. If there are any problems with this date, let me know ;).

I'll make sure we get the permit for the date later in the month.

Thanks for explaining the rain date thing. I guess SoCal hasn't prepared me for an out-there concept like that.

So... what do you do if you wake up and it's kinda raining... like a drizzle? Would you rather go and find out that everyone else is at home playing video games or sit at home playing video games and find out everybody else nerfed? Tough decisions you East-Coasters face.

I'm glad we just have a rain-or-shine policy - less thinking.
