Parts for this modification include an Lanard Blast Bazooka, a bargain store M-16/M-4, and a Daisy red dot sight. This is primarily a cosmetic mod.

I've had my "sawed off" LBB for a while now. It basically has the plastic surrounding the barrel sawed off to allow faster and easier dart loading into the stock barrel. Here's a picture of what it looked like:

Not particularly satisfied with the looks, I got a red dot sight and a $0.99 toy M-16/M-4, hoping to make my LBB look like some kind of SWAT weapon. I then spent several hours (watching Adult Swim on CN at the same time :D) cutting and shaving away at the M-16/M-4, eventually getting the part to fit around the LBB's barrel. Being a tad loose, I jammed three stock darts (suction cups removed) inside to provide a better hold. Then I started cutting a rectangular section off the top of the LBB, just enough so that I can fit the base of the red dot sight between the two halves of the gun. The sight is aimed slightly downward for two reasons: to compensate for ranged shots, and because the top of the LBB is shaped that way . The end result:

I might eventually take up Arcanis' advice to mod the barrel, but since I don't have access to a dremel, hot glue guns, etc. (all of my mods usually involve only a multitool and a sanding block... sometimes a saw), I'll wait on that. The stefans that I use (made by someone at my church - cerealkiller here at NH) fit just fine - with a ramrod, anyway. Pretty satisfied, overall.

Any additional mod advice, anyone?

I've got to say: That's extremely cool looking.
Good job on getting the m4a1 grip so straight.

I don't know if it's possible, put you could try to change the pumphandle with a realistic looking stock. Like the one from an m4a1.

TWO WORDS: FRICKEN' AWESOME MAN!!

as mayhem said the stock would be cool, but here is an idea put the stock where the pump handle is so you would grab the stock and pump, may be ackword but you should get used to it. :D

That's a quality piece of work. It looks very professional, nicely done. I think it would work much more efficiently without a stock then with. The only apparent way to put a stock on would be at the pump, which would be awkward, unless you found a way to make it sturdy.

Nicely done,

Awesome job, the barrel grip and front sight look great on the LBB, even with the size difference when compared to the original gun. I would not go with putting on an M4 stock either, the handle will be more comfortable to pump and probably easier to rest against your shoulder.

Thanks, guys.

Originally, I intended to carve a piece of wood for a stock, and screw it onto where the handle is right now, but I'm thinking that might be too heavy (the pump is flimsy enough as it is). I also considered using the stock from the toy M4, but it's too flimsy and small. It would also make the gun look like some kind of fish.

The current handle does the job, for the most part. It's robust, and it can be held against my shoulder rather comfortably. I pump the gun the same way I did my Titan - with the handle held against my shoulder.

This gun is meant to stand in as something between the At2ks and the Titans that a few of the nerfers at my church use. My At2k mod sucked (NF range), and I didn't want to get too comfortable with the Titan (aside from being banned at wars, it can get lonely sometimes when no one wants to go near you), so I decided to go with the readily-available, mid-ranged LBB.

On a side note, do you see what I see? Think colors :P:

Very nice. I have a cpvc breech blast bazooka but the barrel falls off when I pump because the pump is in the back and the gun shakes. Do you mind the amount of pumps it takes? I would rather use an at2k because it gets the same range when single barreled and takes less pumps.

As a cosmetic job, I will commend you.

I have a few fundamental problems with it. The first thing is how realistic the gun looks. I am aware that you have a orange barrel, but don't expect that to get you off the hook. People see a gun like that and they are calling the cops without question. We've had the cops called for duct taped nerf guns. They usually think we are using Paintball guns or Airsoft. So if I were you, I wouldn't assume that things are all kosher with your orange barrel.

The second big problem I have is the scope. Perhaps I am a minimalist, but why on earth would you need some type of laser guided sight during a Nerf War? I am going to assume it was purely for cosmetic reasons and you don't plan on actually using it. The only excuse I could possibly fathom is that you have night wars, but you'll find that wars are a lot easier to hold during the day. The best suggestion I can give is to keep that in the Nerf gun box and use something that's toned down. You'll have a lot more fun in the end.

Navy Seal:
So far I'm okay with the number of pumps. Takes like, what, eight pumps to prime? If anything, I wish the accuracy was better.

The Infinite Shindig:
This mod is more for looks than practicality. Thank you for the warning. The barrel grip is removable, and once removed, the longish orange stock barrel will be all that's there, but I see how it can be taken as a real gun regardless. As such, even before the scope and grip mods (the first picture), I was hesitant about using it outdoors. Most of the time I just stuck with NFs and a badly modded At2k.

Due to my group's relatively limited amount of ammunition distributed to each member (four darts per person at the last war), our wars tend to be more tactical, as ammunition has to be wildly conserved (at least until people start hoarding them by the third round). We also have a couple of Titan users, one that recently upgraded his to shoot something like 180' with a 24" barrel accurately. Therefore, the sight is for accuracy. It uses an LED, not a laser, and is visible only through the sight. It's meant to work like training wheels on a bike... until I get more intimate with my gun, so I can have something formidable enough to use against the Titan-using "tactical sharpshooters."

If not this, then I'll probably fix up my At2k, and wait for the Firefly and BBB to be released.

Hummm... my ol' LBB was probally the most accutarte nerf gun I have enver had. Much differently modded though, like an 8" barrel with a 12" barrel extender, like the kind that get gradually bigger, telescoping I believe thier called. I didn't cut down the body plastic and I cut a disc of sheet rock to fit the hole around the barrel for support. Other wise all that brass would be too heavy and get out of alignment. How ever that's beside the point, good job. It's quite the eye pleaser. Unlike almost every one of my modded guns.

It shoots like an LBB . Accuracy is mediocre with stefans at long ranges, but I hope to remedy that later on with a longer barrel.

That is a freakin sweet looking gun, but like Shinny said, if you get caught with that realistic looking gun, it could cause trouble.
