Hi there, your friendly officenerfer here. I was wondering if anyone knew when the N-Strike Rev-8 Firefly is coming out. It's summer already, and Hasbro's put out their top-of-the-line super soaker backpacks and cannons, and kids are all water fodder. But what happened to the Rev-8 we were all nuts about a few months ago?

Any insight is appreciated.

Technically, it's not really even summer until the 22nd or the 23rd I can't remember whicih one. And as ssgtsiler said it comes out in LATE SUMMER or EARLY FALL.

After your first offence, I will run a search and for every returned answer I get, I'm suspending you for that many days. The CoC is god around here, and obviously, you aren't reading it.

Hello?! Not using the search function? Excuse me, but I was one of the participants on that gigantic thread regarding the Rev-8 and I contributed towards a better understanding of corporate marketing and profitability. I was thanked for that with the words, "Finally, someone who understands marketing" for sharing my experience with the Nerf community.

I recall the conversation was that the timeframe was "summer".

How come people suddenly are getting anal with me?

Also, READ my original post. I said I knew it's summer but obviously the Rev-8 isn't out. Those who posted "use the Search Engine" obviously haven't properly read my post, else they would have contributed something intelligent. The only intelligent answer was "It's not quite considered summer yet... it'll be supposedly out late summer" (paraphrased).

Look in the mirror before you blast someone online.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize who I was talking to! I should have known that someone as high and mighty as you in the community is above the search function.

It gets better though, not only did you not search, but you didn't do it because you knew that there were already threads open on the exact same topic. Brilliant. You sir, are a complete retard.

If you would like to dicuss anything involving the firefly, do so in the other topics.

You quoted his post which revealed that the timeframe was fall, and voiced your own assumption that he must have meant "summer" because its a big toy season.

Oh, and after a quick look over that topic I gotta correct you. The darts aren't fluorescent, they're phosphorescent. Phosphorescent material continues to glow after exposure to certain frequencies of electromagnetic radiation, whereas fluorescent material stops glowing as soon as exposure ceases.

Yes, thanks for the clarification for phosphorescent vs. fluorescent. Since I described the lighting mechanism, you no doubt understood what I was trying to say.

You're right. I read "summer".

I hope it gives you an ego boost to show how "wrong" someone is for asking a simple question. Are you trying to prove my theory that these forums are an unfriendly place now for people who are trying to contribute to make your environment a nicer place? Or should I be hanging out at NerfHQ? Maybe there are more adults there and more kids here.

I think you really have the wrong idea. You seem to be under the impression that any particular web forum owes you something as a member. But unless you pay a membership fee it simply doesn’t. All in all I think your just coming back on the wrong foot here, no ones trying to show you up. Simply point out why you received such a harsh response, you were wrong, and you didn’t search. That’s a common mistake and it was simply pointed out so you could correct it albeit harshly. If you prefer NHQs environment feel free to post there, though neither forum requires nor wants complete allegiance.

No I don't think I'm owed anything. Shouldn't people just be courteous to one another? It was a simple mistake of inaccurate recollection. I don't participate on this site on a daily basis, nor do I keep up with Nerf news on a daily basis and remember every minute detail.
