I'm not saying I've done anything revolutionary here at nerfhaven, but I thought this would be a cool idea.
In this thread you will share your favorite contribution to the Nerf Internet Community.
For example, Groove may say Death By Foam. It can be a comic strip, modificaton, specified post...anything!

So I guess I'll start off by posting a link to my Blast Bazooka Mod
http://nerfhaven.com...?showtopic=4379
This is my favorite because someone actually tried it and got great results.

Just as a note, many members tend to get tired of these "your favorite" topics, but I don't have too much of a problem with it. The decison is easy, boltsnipers F.A.R by FAR.

I think that he's saying that this sight is his favorite contribution to the NIC.

Arcanum, do you mean things that the poster him/herself has done, or things in general?

I hate to break it to you, but this site isn't about trying to get the most or the best contributions. It's nice if you contribute and you'll get rewarded if you have enough valuable contributions, but all in all this site is auxiliary to what you do at home and in wars. I use this site to help me in my modding abilities and for war planning/practicing. And of course, for other cool things, but NerfHaven wasn't ever intended to see who has the best reputation online.

I know this sounds harsh, but were you like, trying to get everyone to see your mod or something?

I could be wrong, but that's how I perceived this thread.

AA

P.S. My favorite contribution has to be the ompa-langley valve that's not finished yet. I still need to run to the store and pick up that silicone grease.

Wow AA, can you just post in the thread and leave it alone. Of course I wasn't trying to advertise my mod, that'd would be rather impm like. Nerfhaven is about auxillary, so what. I'm not trying to see who can one up the last person. I'm just starting a thread asking what you're favorite contribution is. Who honestly cares that much? geez...

My favorite contribution was when Arcanis, or something of that matter, said "when I insert my dick nothing happens" I could not post a link because apparently he edited his post. Anyway that was my favorite contribution even though it's not technically a contribution, more of a saying it is. Well I guess contribution would have to be Boltsniper's F.A.R I love that thing.

This seems like another dick wagging contest. I've found that some of the best contributors remain silent about what they've accomplished in these types of topics. If you deserve recognition, you will get it as a result of a job well done. Respect is not gained through some type of campaign or advertisement.

If there is a significant contribution that you really liked, why don't you write the author a PM, rather than mention it in a topic? I have a feeling that they would gain more enjoyment hearing from you in a PM than reading a two sentence blurb in some topic.

I figured I'd give you my thoughts.

Isnt NerfHaven supposed to be more mature than NerfHQ?

Yeah, we probably are more mature seeing as if that were posted at NHQ, all the kiddies would be rolling on the floor laughing or even typing LOLZZZLZLLZZOZOLZ into the forum, but notice, noone did that here.

The question, which half of you seemed to miss, is actually "what NIC contribution made by you are you most proud of?"

I don't think it's that bad a question, intentions aside, because it encourages people to think a bit about what they have actually done for the NIC. It always seems like 95% of the innovation of this community comes from 5% of the members. If I'm wrong, this thread would be the place to prove it.

If it ends up looking like a lot of penis waving, so be it. Learning to sell your own accomplishments is an important part of success in life.

I would have to agree with Halfing. My favorite contribution in the NIC was by a guy named Cxwq, with this little gem.

Holy crap, did you even read cx's post?

It's about what YOUR favorite contribution MADE BY YOU is. I thought it was clear enough already. Oh, and if you really want to be mature, you'd stop ripping on NHQ - RAMBO your statement is not even close to the truth and only constitutes a baseless insult at the expense of other people who are part of this community. Way to be "mature".

Now, to answer the poor man's question, my favorite contribution would probably be my site (Nerf Net) which I stopped updating a few years ago. At its busiest it was getting around 200 hits a week, and ended up having over 10,000.

Its probably even less than 5%. Think about what I've done, in reality is nothing. I've recently added some reviews of bizarre toys to my name but that is all. Its the Talio's,cxwq's,stefan's,boltsniper's,ompa, uriel etc. that make our nerf community.

Fine, I'll help this topic get back on track. I don't like to wave my genitals around and gloat about this or that, but I suppose will today. I've been Nerfing for around 10 years now, so I've modded many Nerf guns, but here are some of the ones that really stick out in my mind:

1. 1999- I posted my first mod ever on Nerf Online. It was the SM5k. People were calling this gun a farce, but I knew it had some power. I figured that if you pry off the air restrictor and cut off an inch on the arrow barrel, you could launch anything that would fit down in there. This modification made Lord Gothmog (anyone remember him?) very happy.

2. My Razorbeasts. They were pretty much worthless pieces of shit until I got a hold of them and turned them into a death machine. I also mounted one of these puppies on a tripod in 97' and reattached it here recently.

3. My simple TTG mod. Takes less than 15 minutes to do and is one of the easiest and more effectives mods availible today.

Those aren't that big or monumental, but they've helped some people out over the years.

Yeah you're right, the SuperMaxx5000 mod wasn't huge at all; in fact it's probably the most worthless mod out there.

I think that counts as a memorable contribution. Perhaps.
