I just purchased an xbow, and I'm trying to find a good way to mod it. Problem is, all of the mods that I have seen with good ranges (80-100 ft +) involve removing the barrel and placing a dart into the back of it. Unfortunately for my purposes, this rate of fire is simply too slow. I saw zero's homemade breech, and that looked possible, but would it get the same ranges, and would the rate of fire be significantly reduced? Other than that, does anyone know of a mod for the xbow with a decent rate of fire? I would still like to be able to use a telescoping brass barrel, since that seems to be the obvious choice for an xbow. Thanks

EDIT: also, is there a difference between rawray's xbow mod, which uses two pvc couplers, and rag's mod, which only uses one? would one have a better range/accuracy than the other?

You can always breech barrel mod it. If you don't know how to do that tell me and I will find you the mod.

Taking the barrel off and putting the dart in the back is the fastest way. Zeros breech will not help much. If you want a faster rate of fire either get a different gun or integrate another gun on the xbow.

Or you could make a turret for it, although I do not know the exact address, I am sure you could find a turret walkthrough on a Nerf site. Even without the tutorial, it isn't that hard. I have one for my Maxshot, and one for my X-bow.

You want an Xbow with a greater rate of fire? No problem, here's some instructions.

First off, take your crossbow and set it on a desk or any other comfortable work space.

Second, take a look at the gun. How many barrels do you see? One. It seems to be cocking as well. No real room for a turret.

Third, go to the toy store and buy a 2k.

Point is, Crossbow is a one shot gun, and will always be a one shot gun. Get over it. What are these purposes anyway? Why exactly would the gun be too slow? If you're worried about not having enough shots, well, take a teammate and hit what you aim at.

By turrent he meant glue four pieces of PVC onto a center piece that's shorter(for spacing), that way you don't have to actually load the dart, you just take out and rotate.

Yeah, or more, for my Maxshot, thank you Lefty/Uriel, has 6 CPVC barrels, and my Xbow has 4 PVC barrels with petg in the middle of it. I do not mean a SM1500/AT2k turret, but a homemade one. Sorry I didn't specify that in my first post.
