Well, I've just reglued the o-rings on the barrel and bolt and I'm hoping to have the gun shooting properly tomorrow about this time. I got it to shoot but it was only getting 20' because the o-ring on the bolt had slipped off and I didn't notice till I took the gun apart to find out why it was shooting so horribly but I got it painted yesterday so it at least looks good, even if it doesn't shoot all that hot(Yet) So go ahead and drool now.

Sorry 'bout the shaky angle, I'm not too steady crouched.
And heres a second pic from above(it turned out really strange, the ground changed color)

Not sure, I've probably spent around $30-$40 mainly because some of the parts I used were more expensive(like the plexi-glass) and I use a lot of glue(bolt mentioned this in the other thread)and have gone through 4 bottles :nugget: . I'm still having range problems, I'm pretty sure it's the connection between shell and barrel or a dart fit problem. I'm really hoping I can fix the current problems today and have it shooting by tonight.

Where did you get most of you supplies, does Home dep. or Lowes carry sch40? I couldn't find it when I was there, I'm almost positive they'd have to carry it but I searched forever and couldn't find it.

Uh ya dude. Of course they carry it, your just not looking hard enough. Check plumbing. If you can't find it on your own, then ask someone right away and they will know what your talking about.

Sch. 80 is gray, sch.40 is white, look for short sections of pipe from I think the shortest was 4" and it increases by two inches up to a foot and then it goes by feet up to four feet with threaded ends on both sides. But bring a dart, I found a couple of sizes even in the same store. I really don't see how this relates to my rifle........I haven't used any sch. 80 on my gun and neither did bolt.

And sch. 40 is the white stuff that comes in ten foot sections and fits mega stefans and stock darts.

So go ahead and drool now.

Don`t get cocky now.......

Looks very good. What did you make the front site out of? It looks kinda fragile. i`d be worried about breaking it off during use. I opted to mount both sites on the receiver cover. You lose some site radius but having both sites mounted to the same piece insures that they won`t move with relation to eachother.

I noticed early on that as the plunger reaches the end of the of the plunger tube, it bounces off the back of the bolt face and cause the bolt to move rearward slightly, breaking the seal of the bolt and shell. What would happen is the dart would stop being propelled about 4 inches from the end of the barrel and would either not leave the barrel at all or not go far. What I did to fix the problem was to place another O-ring on the bolt face that was small enough to fit inside the shell. So when a shell is chambered, the small O-ring slides into the shell and maintains a seal even if the bolt backs up slightly during firing. You can also increase the tension on the action spring to reduce bolt jump.

Well done though. Very impressive. Be sure to post your final performance stats and plenty of pictures.

I made the front sight out of two layers of plexi-glass and a coupler, I did this mainly so I could switch it for a orange painted one for safety reasons, though I haven't done that yet. It also added a bit more of personalized look to differ it from yours. I'll have to go to ace tomorrow for an o-ring then, you seem to have described the problem exactly, if I fire the gun a second time it shoots the dart the rest the way out and I can get it to fire if I use a looser fitting dart and a lighter weight though it's only a twenty to thrirty foot shot.
