School is almost out, for most people. What are your plans?

People plan out summer? I have a one week camp thing, and actually I MIGHT be going to Europe, but aside from that I'm pretty much going to wing it.

Oh wait, I do have one goal: Find a place to Nerf outside at least vaguely near my house. Preferably one that dosen't reek.

How and why did you get into the Navy Veggieboy?

Well, this summer I'm going to play minor football, skateboard, catch up on some sleep, hang out with freinds, and hopefully nerf.

4.3 GPA, 1530 SAT, 34 ACT, 10 varsity letters in 3 sports, and 3 seasons as a capain of a varsity sport.

Why am I going there?
$300,000 worth of education/food/housing/clothing/anything else I'll need for the next four years totally free, an engineering degree from arguably the best engineering school in the U.S., and a chance to travel all over the world on the government's tab, as well as maybe fly fighter jets

Can you convert to 1990 numbers? I'm a little confused on how GPA gets > 4.0 these days... and the max SAT is still 1600, right?

CX, AP (Advance Placement) high school courses carry more weight. Anything above a 4.0 is still pretty damn great. Basically a B in an AP class counts about as much as an A in a lower level (CP) course. So if a student got an A in his AP class, it would factor in wieghted more and increasing his GPA to a max of 5.0. The validictorian (or however you spell that) of my highschool class had something like a 4.85 GPA. My old highschool even has AP classes for college credit, depending on how you do on the AP exams.

Those are some pretty damn good accomplishments there Veghead. I only made 2 letters myself back in the day, and only co captain of my wrestling team senior year.

On topic, who in the hell knows what my summer will bring.

Yeah SAT's are out of 1600. Starting with next year's graduating class they're adding a writing section to make the whole thing out of 2400.

And yeah jsut like OMC said the extra points are from AP courses.

Me, I'm working all summer. Though not to get off topic, but since it was mentioned; anyone here about this going on with the SATs? I’ve been doing a lot of SAT prep because I’ll be taking them this Saturday.

Hell. For me school ends on Friday. For the end of the year stuff we do......... we get to go to adventure land! I almost got in BIG trouble last time I was there for messing around. Is any one else doing anything intresting on the last day of scholl/end of the year? Oh and for the summer I'll be lucky if we get one nerfout. The last time our clan nerfed was in February because people are to lazy to take the time needed to plan the day to nerf. I hope you guys have a better summer then mine.

Well, I end school on the 10th, Then I'm going to Myrtle Beach, then to church camp.
