Did you drill a hole in the air restrictor? If you didn't you should, it gives the NF a pretty good kick.

Personally I'd do a nested brass mod because you can find two adjacent sizes of brass which fit tightly/perfectly for any size FBR.

How was the spring too powerful? Isn't that a good thing?

Also aren't most screen door springs stretch rather than compression springs?

They were too small because they wouldn't fit over the plunger and they were only like 2" long.Unless you live in the middle of the desert you should have plenty of stores that carry springs of all sizes. I got my spring for my NF at True Value Hardware, so if you have one of those near you try there. It shouldn't be a problem, every hardware store I've been to has springs, I don't see what you mean that they are too small. Just go to your nearest one and look for them rather than calling.

There is too springs on the screen doors, one that stretches and pulls which compresses a compression spring.
And no. There is no True Value in Ottawa

I agree. I've been brainstorming an idea for possibly having multiple inserts on barrels so that you can properly size a dart to the barrel. I haven't done size testing on spring guns yet, but for my new single barreled AT2k, my idea is that if you can slide the dart in the barrel so it gets stuck and are able to blow it out still, that should be the perfect size barrel. Again, this is all peliminary, when I get a little more time I'll try it out on my Crossbow.Spring guns rely heavily on the dart fit. What works for one person will be shit for another, all because of a 1/32" difference in FBR size.
Personally I'd do a nested brass mod because you can find two adjacent sizes of brass which fit tightly/perfectly for any size FBR.
