So, what do you guys think of Family Guy, Season 4? I haven't yet seen tonight's episode, but I think they're off to a great start. American Dad, on the other hand, seems to be flopping.

What does everyone else think?

I think the first episode of season four was great! I mean Passion of the christ 2.(not to be making fun of others religons or anything).....But that would be awesome.

Yeah, I loved how they turned the cross into a gun.

I think TV is become more and more crude, not to sound like my grandma, but I cringe at the thought of what my children will be watching 20 years down the road.

Nah, MTV is dieing, after 20 years, they will probably have created every type of reality show known to man, and unless they start showing music actually, they will have nothing to show.

On the fact of Family Guy, I think it is one of the funniest shows I seen in my life, and its greatness is only compared with Robot Chicken, because, thats a great show too.

Stewie flyes into the tree. "We attack the the rice crispeys at dawn." The coupon chicken from like 2 seasons ago just comes out of nowhere.
Funniest show in a while.

Personally, i welcome the new season. Family guy has kept its same original style of comedy. I'm glad fox finnally decided to bring the show back after popular demand. My favorite part is on the first episode where peter lists all the shows on fox that crapped out.

I haven't been able to see any of season four thus far but I've heard good things. Family Guy has got to be my favorite show besides maybe Seinfeld and I have watched season 1-3 many, many times. I kind of agree with Jake though. If you think about the change that has taken place over the last 20 years, then what will the next two decades bring.

Wow, last night's episode rocked. That whole chicken fight was insane.

American Dad once again had its moments, but didn't compare to Family Guy.

So far, the new season is the best yet, IMO. The only thing I haven't liked about it so far was the sex scene when you could here the nickels swishing around. XD A little nasty even for my tastes. I really loved it when Stewie crashed into the tree, and when the newly neuetered Brian says, "I really wish I could chew on my crotch right now". :) I heard next week's Animation Domination is cancelled because they're showing SW Episode II. Sweet. Let's take off the funniest thing in the world for a week so some nerds can drool over bad sound effects. But anyway... yeah, good stuff so far.
American Dad isn't too entertaining so far, but it seems to be picking up. The "Well that's just science fiction" crack was pretty funny.

I love it, there's finally enough slack for TV to start getting away with more, and here come you people saying that you are worried about it.... Ok, so that sentence was awkward, shoot me.

The more we loosen up on this kind of stuff the better. The media shouldn't be so controlled by entities that have no interest in the media other than money. Sure, the Government has a lot do to with what gets on TV and what doesn't, but the other big factor is the sponsors. I don't know about you, but I don't want the U.S. government or a bunch of money-hungry corporations deciding what I should be watching on TV. God, I made the mistake of watching the Fox news at 10... Not only is every damn story grossly exaggerated to keep the veiwer interested, but they were also blatantly advertising during the middle of it. One of the anchors was on there playing with a Darth Vadar toy, interrupting another one of the crew's stories, and saying how great the toy was. Why is this signifigant? Star Wars films are distributed by Fox Films. I think I'd rather deal with the responsibility of paying attention to what my kids watch on the televesion than have my children brainwashed by corporate america, but then maybe that's what you guys would prefer.

Family Guy rocks. It's funny, intellegent, and it pushes limits. Good for Seth Mcfarlane. God forbid a show makes us think about what we are laughing about every now and again.

Well put. And not to mention the parents that whine and sue the companies when their kids watch something that has "bad" things in it.

Best quote from the new season was Peter's take on The Passion of The Christ.

Peter being whipped:
"Hey, hey... stop it."

"Okay."

Family guy is the coolest! I was laughing so hard when the other two rice crispie guys said, "Those elves came out of the trees man.....thowse elves man." "You saved my ass man." Other elf says "No, you saved my ass" Both say, "To Snap!" I'm putting that in my signature.
