the ammo holders are those little 2 holed blue plastic pieces from the ammo holders on a nitefinder, there's 4 of them glued to the sides, 2 on each side, giving me 8 rounds in easy reach for reloading, there is a pencil in a small piece of pipe that is used as a ramrod to ensure the best range
the barrel is special, i used a dremel to cut the front 1/2" off the stock 3B barrel, i then dremeled out the stock barrel so that i could jam my piece of CPVC down into it, i then epoxied the cpvc into place, after it dried & a bead of hotglue was put around the tip, my mod takes a turn from most. i drilled a small hole about the size of coathanger wire throught the base of my barrel & through the cpvc about a 1/4" from where it ends in the stock barrel & ran a 2" long piece of coathanger wire through, bent the ends to stop sliding & hotglued the tabs that formed down to the stock barrel, i then wrapped the whole deal in masking tape for extra strength & range tested it
For a final touch, i took a sanding drum & a micro stefan, stuck the stefan down the barrel to stop pipe dust from getting into the plunger tube & made a pair of semicircle cuts in the end of my barrel to lessen the air pop you hear from a normal barrel, this made my 3b SLIGHTLY quieter, i then fired the stefan to clean out the barrel & called it finished
i will post pics soon as i get my digicam working, it's a bit of a bitch to get to work

Is that flat or angled? If flat thats amazing. My 3b only gets about 80ft so I rarely use it. I'd like to try this mod or something like it.it's max range with one of my micro stefans is about 150'

thats angled, i fired the dart from a flat shot, but my front porch sits at the top of a bit of a hill, si i guess you would call that an angled shotThat sounds pretty cool I'd like to see those pics. I'm a little confused about the whole coathanger thing. Could you explain it a little more and what it is supposed to accomplish.

The coathanger is at the back of the barrel so that when i cock the gun that wire piece stops the dart from being sucked into the plunger tube, coathanger wire also wont cut into the dart foam like fishing line will
Pics coming in about 5 mins, got to find my linkup wire for my camera

Yeah thats what I was thinking I'd never heard of someone using a coathanger before. Nice job it looks very clean and well done with good performance. My bbb don't get near 150' angled.

You should range test from a flat area and use a tape measure. Also I would have used a coupler and made a breech for faster reload.it's max range with one of my micro stefans is about 150' (The distance from my front porch to the other side of the road)
Bigger than rugby
Bigger than snowboarding
Bigger than surfing.......Paintball

i did, during a period of low traffic we range tested on the road, same rangesYou should range test from a flat area and use a tape measure. Also I would have used a coupler and made a breech for faster reload.
and if i would have done that, i probably wouldnt have the damn good airseal this thing has
On a side note, if someone wants a full writeup of this, with pics, send me an unmodded BBB, i will mod it exactly like shyft & post a full writeup
