I find that when I put my darts into PVC barrel and I shove it in all the way, It doesn't go very far. When I put it in the end of barrel it fires farther. Am I doing something wrong or do other people have this too?

This happens to me with mega stefans, I'm pretty sure there is just to much friction from the time the air flow starts and the point at which the dart leaves the barrel. This may change for different darts so play around with different ammo and some different barrel types.

Friend, if you want help you're going to have to give us more information than that.

Which gun?

Length of barrel?

Any nesting?

Nerf micros or stefan megas?

If stefans, how snug is the fit for your particular FBR?

My bad. They are mega stefans. All 1/2" PVC mods and the barrels are anywhere between 6" (secret shot) to 11" (EaB). On some darts there isn't alot of friction so I can push them all the way to the back but when I fire, the dart just plops out.

i use 3/4" CPVC as it gives a slightly loose fit, that tends to even let the weaker rebarrled guns in my arsenal fire Mega Stefans, 1/2" is used for micro stefans, not mega, as megas would have WAY too much friction, you'd need an ultimator to shoot a Mega Stefan out of a 1/2" barrel, the guns you're using have nowhere near the amount of airflow necessary

Okay, thanks. It can settle for now since I'm hoping to change my stefan ammo horde to 1/2" anyways, now I won't have to remod all my guns, **phew**.

So it does this on ALL guns or just the ones you listed? You'll want to check internals first to make sure it isn't a barrel problem, but from what you've described it doesn't seem like it is. You should experiment with smaller barrel lengths because 11" of PVC is kind of iffy when you're comparing pressure buildup to too much friction. If you have spare PVC, you should try one with 9", 7" and so on until you find one with the best results. If you don't have spare PVC, then for weaker guns I would advise you to stay within the 4"-6" length, and for stronger guns 8" to 10". Then again if you're using a Titan or an sm5k, these may vary. Also, are your darts the stock type with the rubber tips? Those contribute to quite a bit of friction.
