Any way, A long time ago when the RF20 first came out, I remember seeing a commercial. See if this helps:
"The NEW Rapid Fire20 and Nerf RapidFire 50!"
:: Kids run out with guns:: "Look at that! It switches from single shooting to full RAPID FIRE BLASTING!!!!! Get ready for some serious Nerf fun with the Nerf RapidFire 20 and RapidFire 50!!"
At the end of the commercial there was even a PICTURE of an RF50. God I should have taped that commercial.
Obviously it would hold 50 micros instead of just 20.

here. Maybe you'll find more information/ confirmation there. A lot of folks there seem to have all kinds of one-of-a-kind Nerf things that I've never heard of before.
GeneralPrimevil, 2-3 years ago, the Supermaxx series was fizzling out, and the Air Tech series of blasters were making their debut. I'm certain that an RF-50 would have made some appearance somewhere, and/or someone would have mentioned it here, on HQ, or even on NerfOnline/ NerfCenter.
If you'd seen it on a commercial, it must be a production model, not a prototype, because they usually don't put protos in direct advertising (why try to sell something that isn't even in production yet?).
The only place I've ever seen a Rapid Fire 50 mentioned, is on the Google search engine, sponsored links. In fact, they have Rapid Fire 23s, 44s, and 51s too.
I think there's a difference between asking for research help for unsubstantiated information regarding a so-called "limited-release" blaster, and wanting some sort of respect/ protection from flaming for bringing up something that is showing pretty impossible to prove.
Okay, how about this;
Someone show me a picture of this so-called "RF-50", and upon PMing me your mailing address, I will send you, post paid, a brand-new AirTech 2000.
If anyone shows me a Photoshopped/ altered picture in order to deceive me, upon PMing me your mailing address, I will send you, post paid, a box full of my dog's crap from the past three days. With some old parts from a broken AT Jet Squadron thrown in also.
