Here is a write up I did on the Max D last year:

I've since fixed the problem I had with the cover poping off the vinal tubing by inserting the vinal into 1/2" pvc and using a hose clamp to hold the cap in place where it meets the PVC.

I've tried to do this before, but had hardly no brass no PVC and almost no glue, I'm sure if I had the proper equipment I would have had a monster of a gun. I had a hard time with the trigger mech/ value in my gun, I was wondering if that was because the gun was old or it was because a water gun?
