I've recently modified my AT2K with a single barrel and plugged the release valve. Your standard stuff. But after a few shots when I pump the gun, the air doesn't stay in there. I push the pump handle in and the air pressure pushes it back out again. I'm thinking that a one way air valve got messed up somehow, but I cant seem to locate the darn thing. Anyone have any advice? Or people having similar problems? Thanks

Correct thinking; that's a sign of a broken check valve. The one that broke (apparently) is in the back of the pump tube (not the shaft itself). I'm not sure how you'd fix it however.

Thanks for the tip, I think some plastic shavings might have gone back there. Oops, prolly shouldve been a bit more careful about that.

You can also break check valves by putting too much hot glue on the surface of the pump. After plugging, you should ensure that the hot glue is flush with the end of the pump.

Well I made pretty sure that the glue was pretty flush with the end of the pump, but the fact still remains that its broken. Anyone have any ideas about how to fix the thing?

I recently had that problem on one of my AT2K's, and managed to fix it by just spraying silcone spray down the pump shaft. After a few pumps, it re-sealed itself. If you've got plastic shavings though, I'm not sure if it'll work.

Aren't 2K's still in production?

I would just scrap the thing and get a new one, well the internals anyway.

The way I fix guns that have jammed with small pieces of plastic (hacksaw residue size) is by flushing out the system with water. Simple, and it shouldnt break, most of the time.
