Range = 80' - made almost exactly like my homemade arrows.

I'm still tweaking with the design in hopes of 95' - 100', but it's a start. Right now the tip is just foamy. Anyone got any ideas on how to make a system that really absorbs the missiles impact, hence protecting whatever it hits to some extent? I really like how they did that on the stock missiles.

What think you? Anyone want to make their own? Or did ya'll mod your Titans to shoot ammo that weighs 1/70 of what was intended? :D

I'd be interested, though my titan can use stefans, it's so much more satisfiying to hit them with a huge missle. You should try a hollow tip with two holes through the foam like hasbro did, foam craft sheet might work to make the tip.

And as everyone knows, money makes the world go round. It's also the root of all evil, therefore the world going round is evil, and we should stop the rotation of the planet.

That's really awesome. I need to buy some couplers and stuff because I am going to basically do ompa's Titan modification, but with SCH 40 PVC instead so it shoots megas. That way, I have a removable barrel so I can use the missile or megas, and now your homemade missiles.

Have you tried angling the fins like you did on your arrows?

I don't think so. Did you mean they are cut so they aren't just square-shaped? Because waht I meant was so they are like the arrows that come with the Big Bad Bow in that the fins are at like a 10-15 degree angle so when fired, the arrow spins and is mroe accurate. Kind of like rifling.

flamebo388 - That's the sort of principle I was thinking of adapting. I don't think craft foam sheet would work because it would have to be air tight. I also don't know how I'd make a uniformly shaped nose, which is essential.

MattPaintballar - Sounds like a good mod, close to how I did it. The fins are angled, but just slightly. These are really modeled off of the stock missiles, because those shot so well.

I ordered all this foam from Ace, and the minimum order was 180' (240 missiles). So basically, I've got a lot of extra foam right now. If anyone wants to make their own, I'll give you a good deal on it.

Cool! I want to try this out for myself. I prefer stock Nerf blasters anyways.

Are the ranges with a stock barrel with air restricitons and everything, or did you dremel the restrictors out?

Stock barrel. I don't think dremling the "air restrictors" would increase range much at all. Some of my newer ones are getting ever closer to the ranges of the stock missiles.

Taking out the air restrictors added an extra 5-10 feet with stock missiles, but improved the velocity a lot. Now you can't just step aside, you have to move quickly to get out of the way, which usually leaves you vulnerable for a split second. The Titan can be used in wars quite well. If you get somebody to shoot the Titan while another person aims at the target, you can hit the guy while he's vulnerable from dodging the missile, (f it didn't miss, of course) and if you get rushed you can always have some people with autos guarding you.

I'd have to disagree with that. I compared ranges to a stock titan to a cut open barrel titan and they were almost identical. I don't think the compressed air has much trouble at all exiting the stock barrel.
