Anyone watch Rush Hour? There is a scene when Lee (Jackie Chan) and Carter (Chris Tucker) argue over whose daddy would whoop whose daddy while eating Chinese food takeout. Then later Lee teaches Carter a gun disarming move that looks like this:

Carter holds a gun out, with arm outstretched. Lee then takes both hands and rotates/folds the gun with the mouth now pointing at Carter and somehow takes it out of his hand. It's over quickly. Snap-take!

A friend today at the office held his Nerf Maverick at me and was going to shoot me point blank. I lifted up my hands. "I'm unarmed!" I said.

"I don't care!" he said with a grin.

So suddenly I do the Jackie Chan move. I turn the barrel away from me ---

--- towards him ---

and with the other turn the rear of his gun forward.

Now with the gun pointing at him I put my index finger into the trigger.

POP!!!!!!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Office laughs.

Haha, that's pretty sweet. I'll have to give that a try sometime. Welcome to NH!

I did something like that once, only I just turned it over with my left hand (rotating up out of his) and pulled with my right pinky. I like yours better, because I'm a huge Chan fan. Never gotten it to work though. I'm fidgety in high-stress situations.

I n one movie I saw Jackie took the cocking part of a handgun off by fliping 2 switchs. But thats not possible my dad said because he said the swith u got to move isnt that easy to flip. If you know a cop or person that served in the Military ask him for some disaming moves he could give you a few.

Generally true, but it varies from gun to gun and some people have custom levers installed to make it easier to break the gun down for cleaning. When my arms and hands are worn out from blowing through a couple boxes of .45 I can barely get my Glock disassembled so I've actually considered replacing that lever.

I saw that, but it wasn't in a jackie chan movie, and he used a 1911 which you can do that too, but not as smoothly. You have to push the slide back a little, push a lever, then pull it off, and even so the firing mechanism is still in tact so it can still fire the chambered bullet, but then the contents of the clip would fountain out. I'm fairly certain anyway... if I'm wrong someone correct me.

I believe when you pull off the upper receiver, all that is left is the lower receiver (mag, handle and trigger) therefore you have the chambered bullet…right?

Actually it was a Jackie Chan movie. Jackie Chan's Who Am I was the title. Great movie. He uses that move to disarm some CIA spy.

No, I didn't mean that what you saw wasn't a jackie chan movie, I mean what I saw wasn't. It starred two black people, one of them was Eddie Griffin (actually the guy disarmed), and afterwards he pulls out the chambered bullet and says "It's ok, I can throw a bullet at ya!". Anyone know what movie that was?

They aren't weapons. Don't call them weapons. They're only weapons if you make them so.
