High five! The Clash and DK all the way.
I love the Dead Kennedys. Acutally, I really like the Punk Rock genre as a whole.
If you ever want to hear a band with a... strange, to say the least, front man, listen to the Toy Dolls. They have awesome music, but they're lead singer sounds weird. Very weird.
Finally, Subhumans rock.

The majority of gang crime? i don't even know where to start.*start rant*
It's people like you that makes listening to Alt Rock seem disgraceful. I suppose you also own a skateboard (but can't do shit) and also shop at Hot Topic? I hate the people who are stereotypical about their music, that they have to live their life arround it. Not to mention rap...But I will. Think about it. The majority of gang crime in the U.S. in the last few years is the pushing of the "ghetto" life-style that Rap puts on people.
Unless you're a Criminology major or criminology is your hobby, you dont know what your talking about.
and as a Crim major, I can tell you, you don't know what you're talking about. Shut the hell up.
As for hot topic, what the fuck else is the store for? For all those DYI freaks (which i happen to be one) I hope you do realize that its becoming popular. O no, what shall we do? people besides me think its cool! Grow up, and get over it. If its Cool and hip and popular, so what?
back on topic,
As it happens my bands are blink 182 and good charlotte. I dont listen to them much any more, but they will always hold a special place for me. I've made my peace with them for selling out.
My favs that im listening to now are lost prophets and chevelle

High-five.Blink 182. Go ahead, laugh and say how my music taste sucks. I like their music, and Travis Barker rocks your face off. Besides, music debates are worthless, because in the end, everyone's music taste sucks.
"Dammit", "Carousel", "Dick Lips", and "Stay Together for the Kids" are my personal favorites.

Slipknot
Metallica
MudVayne
Linkin Park
Just a few problems with a few of those bands. Metallica sold out, but I mostly just listen to their older CDs, and Linkin Park is going on tour with..... Eminem and Nelly. I hate those two and I sometimes wonder if Linkin Park is doing this just because rap's a really big thing these days. I still like LP, but in my eyes they've been going downhill ever since Collision Course. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah, maybe it is because I've listened to more music, I don't know. I dont' know how long you've been playing guitar, either so it's a possibility that I have just been playing longer and exposed to more stuff as well. He really doesn't do anything that hasn't been done, though. In fact, most guitarists don't do anything that hasn't been done. There are very few unconventional guitarists out there and there are even fewer that play entirely original material. Leslie West was an original player... he invented half the styles that exist today. Steve Vai is (generally) a very orignal/unconventional player, though I do not really care for his music. Just figure I'd throw out an example or two.Really? To me, he does stuff that other guitarists don't do ... maybe you've heard a larger variety of music than I have, and it doesn't seem special to you. Well, I guess it's all opinion.
Hey Talio, it's off topic. Go take a pill or something and stop letting a bunch of kids on a messageboard talking about bands they enjoy ruin your day. I like you a lot, man, but your posting about how this is a waste of active topic slot is just as much of a waste of space. No one here really cares if you approve or not so you are obviously wasting your time bitching at them.

Gotta stick with the classic rock bands.
I'm glad there are classic rock fans here. How bout them Iron Maiden? or Megadeth and Motley Crue. Uh oh, should I mention Twisted Sister?
I'm having flashbacks from the 80s.

If I must, I'll say that my taste can go from the Eagles to Alexisonfire, from AC/DC to Papa Roach, from Deep Purple to Taking Back Sunday, or from Led Zeppelin to Atreyu. My tastes just depend on my mood; If I wanna rock out, or just mellow out.
To each his own, I guess. I still hate Sum41 though.
Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!
