Wow, awesome. Looks like you all had fun. I love the part where someguy runs, jumps, shoots two guns, grabs 2 new guns and keeps running. Hopefully the next time a war happens I can come.

If I see one more "december" YANO where you guys are wearing t-shirts, I'm going to fucking off myself. Looks good Julie. Now I'm going to go outside and Nerf. In the freezing rain. In april.

Poor baby.

If it helps any, I was wearing a long sleeve t-shirt until around lunch time when it got too hot and I had to go short sleeve.

Consider this a marketing ploy to get the biggest out of state turnout ever for this year's Armageddon.

Only if you had held it in January. But maybe you could make up some banner ads that say, "But it's a dry heat."

Sweet video, lots of good footage. Looks like you guys got in some quality nerfing (along with a lot of ninja moves). Also, very nice selection for the music, Chemical is where it's at.

Yeah, how is it that the weather here is 3 times worse then out there at all times, and we nerf three times as much? Doesn't that break some kind of proportional basis of exsistance?

Who's the dude in the black with the nitefinders? I have a feeling if you and Death ever met on the battle field, it really would be armageddon. I think I'd pay to see that match up.

I keep seeing one guy walk around with some bastard child of a gun and ripping it apart no less. What the hell is that thing?

Man I'd like to get out there. Just once. I'll have to check prices for flying out during the weekend in June. When the hell is this Armageddon thing anyhow?

Freaking awesome, as usual.

As we do war quite often on the this side of the country as Tally noted, the weather is quite teh sux out here. No humidity and an almost constant breeze makes Nerfing in Cali a dream come true for any of us. Shit, that makes me want to go back out there again...

I'm heading out there this summer...
Time to download this video. I assume it will be sexy.
Ok, I'm watching, it, I don't know if I can take this emotionally. Not only is it beautiful...But the EAB's, AT3k's...I just imagine a car running them over...

/me cries.

EDIT: Is it just me, or do you guys jump on the ground a lot? Love the video.

And, nice Washington DC Calvin Shirt

I really like the work you did Julie at around 2:10ish.

Don't think I'm not highly considering going. According to Google, it's a continuous 1 day and 17 hour trek from Pine Beach, NJ to Irvine, CA. Any Jersey guys want to take a good old fashioned road trip? In the even that doesn't work, plane tickets cost ~$200 to head to SoCal for four full days. We'll see if I have the money and if the weekend works out for me. I've got some long time friends graduating High School that month, so I need to consider that as well.

The video was awesome. I will admit that my room mate gave me a very weird look when he discovered that the music was coming from MY laptop. ^_^

Between gas and the hotel you'll have to stay at somewhere in the middle, the air fair probably comes out cheaper.

Doesn't anybody around here know how to do a poor uni student road trip properly?

Pack 4-5 people and belongings into the most fuel efficient car they have. Plan departure time such that expected total driving time times 1.2 gets you to destination in the late afternoon or early evening.

Every 3 hours, driver moves to back seat, navigator moves to driver, whoever's been in the back seat the longest moves to navigator.

Stop at Dennys* and adjacent gas station every 6 hours to refuel people and vehicle. Cary a full gas can so you don't need to stress when you're running low.

Do not stop anywhere else.

Arrive, eat, go to sleep early on host's living room floor.

Repeat process to get home. Divide total gas expenditure by number of people minus one - everyone pays for gas except car owner.

Total time in your case would be about two days. Gas should come out to about $90 per person, assuming one of you has a car that gets around 35mpg.

*If you're really cash-strapped, bring 4 or 5 sandwiches and a two-liter of soda per person.

----------

Alternately, you could spend an hour driving to the airport and parking, two hours getting through security and picking up your boarding pass, one hour on the runway waiting for clearance, ten hours in the air, two hours at stopover, and one hour disembarking and getting out of airport. Then you have to either rely on someone's hospitality to drive you around or you need to rent a car.

Nice video. I didn't like the choice in music though, was too repedative for my liking.

Was it like national "pretend you really got shot" day or somthing? Everyone was doing a sick "death animation" everytime they got hit. It was probably just edited that way?

Best part was the one guy shooting his two NFs ( I think they were ), throwing them into the air behind him, then sliding on the ground ripping two more from his pockets. Just awesome.

Well. A few of DS were running around with nitefinders. But, I had four. And only used those. So I'd be asumming you'd be talking about me.

Julie. Great Vid. Haven't heard it yet. lol. Daniel's stupid computer, but now that I"m back at school I should be able to pull it up in a minute or so. Anyway, great job. Next War?

Next War?

Armageddon.

Late June, early July. Look for a thread soon to hash out some dates with the out of state folks.

If you want to give a different venue a try, CAFF is going to be May 31. Check the appropriate thread.

The writhing, the screams, the gnashing of teeth, it's ALL REAL. Must be the poison people were smearing on their darts.

...not to mention from this end...

My kids, and the neighborhood kids who come to play, wouldn't want it any other way then to see their adult opponents writhe, convulse, and drop dead when we parents get hit by their shots.

Extra bonus points when we do gymnastic moves and aerial flips when hit by Titan missiles. B)

Anyway, thanks again Julie. Excellent work, as always. Thanks for making it available for us to download/ watch again and again. The guy who thought he was Neo, throwing his pistols and drawing two more, makes it very entertaining to watch. Hope my son doesn't try that!

Thanks for the tip... I think I'll go.

Great video!

Along with the shipping of the guns (slight change of subject) there'd be like another 5 or 6 hours you'd have to spend in the Airport at security explaining to stupid Airport security agents (who don't speak a hint of English) that they aren't real guns, and that you're not terrorists, but just high-risk middle-class youth with strange hobbies.

I love it.
