I haven't done any internal work to my SM5K(only an externally placed barrel) yet, and when I unscrewed everything, even the screw hidden inside the handle, I cant get it open. It's stuck right near the pump. A picture of the internals would be nice.

Make sure you have gotten all the screws. I don't think there was a anti-modding cap on it...make sure you got all the screws, and if you are sure, just pull hard.

2 caps exist. One where the pump meets the gun, and one where the barrel attachments go. Just pry those off and that should do it.

Your problem is that at the base of the pump there is a plastic cap that prevents the pump from slinding out. Get a broad flat head screw driver and you can pop it off. Then the gun should open without a problem.
