I picked this up at a dollar general a few days ago. It had a slide cock that you pull back. When the trigger was pulled it made noise and slid back forward. I took all that stuff out and integrated a 2K into it. It gets 80-90ft. with 3 pumps. I am amazed at how silent it is. From 50ft. away you can barely hear it.

Looks nice. I have a few dollar store guns but their to small to put an at2k in. You should make a fake silencer to put over the exposed barrel.

They aren't weapons. Don't call them weapons. They're only weapons if you make them so.

That's pretty sweet south, I always dig intergrations with toy gun replica shells. I like how you placed the pump where the magazine would normally be.

As I said on the HQ, I'm interested in how you got the toy trigger to activate the air release valve. Seeing this made me dig up loads of old toys and take apart my AT2k. I'm twitching in anticipation of how to do this...

I got lucky with this one's trigger. It slides back and forth rather than on a pivot. When i put the valve with the barrel glued on, the barrel came straight out of the old barrel and the firing pin was right where the trigger was. I used hot glue to connect the two.

I guess I'm really a NJ nerfer at heart guys, because I don't see the point. This cosmetic trend in Nerf is just weirding me out. If you weren't aware, in our eyes, a gun isn't remotely ready for a Nerf War unless you have at least a roll of duct tape on it. But maybe that's just us. I've always found that I'd rather maximize the actual perfomance of guns than their cosmetics.
However, I will admit that you're idea is pretty cute. I could definitely see some members following your lead on this one. I won't be one of those people though. I really scratch my head whenever I see posts where people talk about paint jobs or other cosmetic work to guns. If I remember right, there was a contest at NHQ before the hack, where people were comparing the bling they put on their guns. I think I almost threw up when I saw that.
I do see one advantage to this though. It makes your at2k blatantly obvious that it's a toy, because of the mint condition shell. In that respect, it's not a bad idea. I know with my guns, most people don't know what they are and assume paint ball. That's just the nature of the beast though.
I would just warn you guys not to go over board and make your guns look too realistic. A combination with that and police will never be good.

Thats pretty sweet, Lefty...Does the pump move around at all, and is it smaller than a 2k? Just curious.
