Alright, I just got my grubby hands on a Sony PSP, and I'm really pleased with it. The battery life is I believe far higher than what has been floating around, the graphics are incredible- the Spider Man 2 movie that came with it is definately around DVD quality. The music is superb, and I have no problems with the square button (fixed before US release) or the analog control stick. Also, no ndead pixels.

However, I was wondering if anyone has came up with any problems or anything through use of their PSP- I have none yet, but I'd like to know what to watch out for; haven't seen TOO much stuff on the net about the US-released PSP problems, and I was wondering if any of you have ran into any difficulties.

Oh, and now that I've played both the DS and the PSP, the PSP wins the overall competition so far. Combined with a Screen Protector and case, you shouldn't have any reason to be breaking it.

You're not supposed to have a problem with the square button for another few months. I'm not sure if they ever fixed the problem (apparently because of its proximity to the screen, the square button dies after a few months).

Second, have you shot the discs out yet? Its hysterical. If you're getting into your game and you bend the machine at all, it shoots the disc out a good 5 or 6 feet.

I'm not interested in handheld gaming, and I find most Playstation products to be weak (not in power but in replayability).

I've had my japanese PSP for quite some time now and i don't yet have any problems with it. Compared to my DS, the PSP blows it out of the water in terms if graphics. And i have never heard of a PSP shooting out discs...

Well I have the DS and have been drooling over the PSP for quite a while. I have $100 would you suggest I save until I can buy the PSP and a game? Also how do mp3s play on it? Thanks in advance, Gamefreak.

There's a Japanese video online where you get to see the guys shoot discs out just by bending the machine. He turns in on. Starts playing. Bends it a bit, and it fires out. Very random and hysterical.

I'm surprised you've never heard about it or seen it.

Why would you bend it? Ever?

mp3's play well.

The square button issue was fixed before the US release, and defective units were allowed to be traded in- at least that's what I got from employees at best buy and compUSA.

ya since I'm a mario man, I natrually got the DS. I overestimated it. The games are sooo bad for it. My brother has the PSP, I played it, and I loved it. I'm gettin one for my birthday. Also my friend's DS came deffective, it kept forgetting his name and stuff, so it's nothing great. Also how would bending it shoot out the UMD thingy?

They aren't weapons. Don't call them weapons. They're only weapons if you make them so.

I should be getting mine in from kbtoys.com either Wednesday or Thursday. I got the pack plus Fifa 2005. I saw a trailer for it online and it looks sweet. For those who have the psp, how is that analog stick? Does it work pretty good or is it a pain in the ass? I pray to God that I get a psp without any dead pixels. I HATE THOSE.

Analog stick works well.

Anyone have Untold Legends? Druid with an upgraded rock storm and thorn cloak owns all.

I played one today in Geometry and I was pleasently surprised.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan, and a Sony fan... not so much. I really want a DS, but this makes the decision THIS MUCH harder.

I tried Dynasty Warriors. The graphics were quite nice, and the controls were... controlling well. I think that little control nub thing is really weird, but really cool.

I liked the PSP.

Three weeks from now I'll have enough money to buy one.
I love working for my dad.

So, which Memory Stick would be the best investment--- 256, 512, or 1 gig? I'm thinking 512, since my mom already has an extra 512 for her camera, and I want to load tons of Red vs Blue episodes and music on them, but if 1 gig is significantly cheaper per MB, I may end up getting that.

Also, what is the best game out in your opinion? Right now only WipEout Pure and Untold Legends look any good to me, and even those not a whole lot. I'm really looking forward to Death Jr, GTA, and Advent Shadow, but what do you guys think are the best ATM?

The Sony P.S.P. look very cool and I am very seriously considering buying one but I have a question, can you download movies from the internet onto a memory card on a site similar to itunes but with movies? Or where could I download them? And how long have you guys found that battery life to be?

you can download movies but it takes alot of memory space so you will need to buy a memory stick pro duo there like $40 for the smallest one

The batery space lasts a bit longer than the D.S but it dosnt really matter cause when you turn or power off and on it leaves you were you left off

Does not last longer than the DS. Only the hold puts you on pause, turning it off doesn't keep it where you left off. You can download movies.

No, you're probably putting the PSP on hold, instead of turning it off. It looks the same if it's on hold or off, oddly enough.

Use grammar, please.
