BEFORE ANYONE READS THIS WHOLE POST, READ THIS:

Talio and I just got back from another weekend and Hasbro HQ in RI. We were sworn to secrecy about the trip. We wanted to tell you guys as soon as we could, but they asked us not to too keep both us and them from being flooded with emails about allowing others to come on the trip. He and I are now considered “ambassadors” if you will, and act as liaisons between the fine folks of Hasbro and our community. That being said, I hope no one takes it personally, because we were invited a little while ago and did not want to hurt anyone’s feelings otherwise.

With that said, WE HAVE FUNKIN’ AWESOME NEWS

Let’s get one thing out of the way for GOOD. WE WILL NEVER EVER EVER SEE A RERELEASE OF THE CROSSBOW. NEVER, understand it. Done.

Next, we have seen what is coming this fall. The dart tag blasters which many of us have seen toy fair pictures of are pretty friggin cool. They come 2 blasters in a pack along with 2 vests and 2 “foakley” sunglass things. Anyway, they are 10 shot auto rotating blasters, that are pretty nice. They are similar in size to a smaller RF20, but work on a top slide cocking mechanism like the maverick or scout. That’s about the only way to describe them. (we weren’t allowed to TAKE pictures, but the nerf team promised us images to put up soon.)

Next, one of the coolest blasters I’ve EVER felt, the firefly. This is the next offering in the NStrike line for the fall. It looks a hell of a lot like an RCP-90 from Goldeneye on N64. That aside, it is just badass. It is an 8 shot auto rotating rifle, uses the same slide as the maverick, but a plunger system like the NF. This thing also has a built in flash that causes its darts to glow. Kinda hard to explain, but you’ll see eventually. This thing is going to be the best thing we have seen from the nerf team (not including the NF) in a long time. I swear everyonr will want one.

FINALLY, the last great news is on re-releases. We are not allowed to say what is going to be re-released, but I promise it will be huge. They may be exclusives to certain stores, but that all remains to be worked out. I will post pics of anything and everything as soon as I get them from Hasbro.

I will also be posting answers to everyone’s questions from Talio’s thread about asking Hasbro anything. That was the reason we created the thread, in case no one had figured it out. Anyway, look for more info from myself and Talio soon.

Also, judging by the size of the blasters, and guesses on the plunger size? I hope that's not too much to ask.


On another note, ooooh damn I'm excited. 2 new possible primaries released at the same time? Hot DAMN.

That's sweet. I like the sound of the firefly, another plunger primary with eight shots. What I'm mostly looking foward to are these re-releases. I can only wonder what guns they are bringing back, should be awesome whatever they are from the sound of it. Thanks a lot for the update OMC, keep us posted.

Anyway. Hot damn! Awesome. I can't wait to get my hands on the Firefly. I'm glad they're back to using the good ol' regular plunger style now, and a rifle's just what I needed. The rapid fire two pack sounds cool, but I'm a little disappointed it doesn't use a pump. We haven't seen a pump since the N-Strike set, but it's all good. Any release is good news.
All that stuff about rereleases makes me giddy. So, uh.. what will they be?

Yes these are fall releases, and we didnt see any internals, but im guessing they (plungers) are larger then the NF Ompa.

Whoa, an eight-shot, auto-rotating, bigger-than-an-NF's-plunger gun? Wow. So, we should be expecting something with a rate of fire comparable to or better than a Maverick, with two extra shots, good range and accuracy? Sounds like a better version of the Lanard Speedloader. Do you know how the seal between the turret and plunger tube is? Sounds awesome. Thanks a lot OMC and Talio.

We also had seen some pretty wicked stuff in the lazer tag division. This is an area we could see nerfers growing into. If anyone is interested, contact me about that stuff

Finaly new nerf guns, they sound very promising. Are they both cocking guns? I wonder what guns are going to be rereleased?

Wow those new guns sound awesome. The Firefly is a neat takeoff on the Electric Eel it sounds, but with much more firepower and more shots. I'm definitely gonna keep my wallet stuffed for when those re-releases come out; I'm all giddy like a school girl to see what they are...

God, I was obsessed with the RCP-90 when I used to play Goldeneye at my friend's house. Beat the living shit out of the klobb that I always ended up getting. At least it saves me the trouble of thinking of a color scheme- Goldeneye resurrected baby.

Thanks for another great report of news straight from Hasbro themselves. Keep up the good work guys. I'll have to make sure I save some money this summer for a few new Nerf guns.

I wouldn't say the SM500, especially(I cant spell) since they didn't even make that gun. I wanna say probably the arrowstorm. He said we would really like it so it has to be a pretty decent gun. Maybe a BBB or Lock n load???

Sweet. I loved that rcp90 back in golden eye and also the rcp120 in perfect dark, good times. But yeah, that sounds awesome. This re-release is going to start eating away at my brain. Im trying to think of something that the N-strike line doesn't have yet that nerf has previously made, heres what I got so far, remember these are just rough comparisons in the type of gun,
Titan= sm5k
Hornet= blastfire
Scout= ? possibly monoblast?
NF= LnL
Firefly= sounds like a cross between xbow and arrowstorm
Mav= Mad hornet
The Twin 10 shots= sort of PCesque (10 shots)

This is just my opinion, the question is, whats left?

Just as I'm done cleaning my pants from when buzz bee showed their fall line up I mess myself again. Sounds like we got some new guns to mod this fall guys. Do I smell multi-barrel mods?
