Anyway, you'll note here that the term originated among college students circa 2000. The etymology provided is incorrect in geography however. I happen to have been a college student living just two miles from 'the OC' in the year 2000.

The abuse and tough love on these forums is what's kept me coming back. No matter how geeky and childish a board like this seems; I see it as a learning experience. Here, I learned how to garner the respect of people I didn't even know, by learning how to represent myself and portrey myself.
If you can take anything from this tough love, it's learning how to bounce back, joke about it, and become a better person. I think that if you can gain the respect of someone you've never met, you've done something pretty good with yourself.
In short, people here don't have time for people being stupid and disrespectful, but we'll help you to change, if you'll co-operate.
Don't send back rebuttle, Jake, unless you've got something to back it up with; people respect that much more than senseless arguing.
