Does Pvc Slow A Dart Down?

Another friend had brass, and was ramroding all his darts down his barrel. Also, I brass nested my BBB it rocks.
Thinking of all this, and the fact that I haven't heard of anyone nesting pvc, Does PVC drag at the stefan? It might add some resistance because some things slid easy on plastic, while others don't?

If you're using 1/2" SCH40 with 1/2" micro stefans it won't shoot them at all. They're not the same size.Ummm, I think my single-barreled AT2K is a anomaly then. Simply, because it shoots stock darts WAY better than Stefans, and I believe it's cause the front causes friction that creates a better seal, therefor better launching the darts. The stock shoot like 25% better, if not more.

Length of PVC? Diameter of FBR? Length of stefans? Weights? It's Falcon's mod:

-8 inch.Length of PVC? Diameter of FBR? Length of stefans? Weights?
-the size for micros, i'm not exactly sure.
-2 inch, ive used 1 inch since I don't have many 2 inch. same results.
-1 weight.
I've put E-Tape, it occured to me before, and it didn't do nearly as well as the stocks, but better than before. I'll try more tape. Maybe more weights. I have only like 3-4 feet of FBR left, so I'm gonna use my current darts (cause they all suck) for messing arround, and use the rest of my foam (thought it's not enough for a war) for the upcoming CT war.
Oh: and I don't think this is the right topic, but can someone please explain the physics that makes different barrel material better, since my dad is a real bitch when it comes to letting me use his copper, brass, etc (he won't even let me use the brass) because he thinks it's no difference.

It's all size... micro stefans are 1/2" OD. PVC is not available in 1/2" ID. Find a material that fits your darts and it will work best for you.

the difference between copper and brass or any other metal or plastic tubing is quite irelevent in terms of what its made of. Its all shiny polished metal, and its all the same to the foam.
like Cx says, "its all size"
What the physics is refering to is the measurements.

sounds like your barrel is too long. Try shortening it.When I use a pvc gun, I noticed that it seemed to work better when the dart was up front. A friend told me to stick it down there and it would shot better. Anyway, I didn't cause that is not what I saw in my gun.

Bolt, you should try a thing strip of wax paper glued over the head of a stock dart. It is a little trickier/ more time consuming to do that e-tape, but will give you even better results in PVC barrels. With 1/2" SCH40 I prefer using sotck Micros. Wrap a little electrical tape around the head of the dart. The e-tape slides very well on the PVC. it also reduces the are of contact with the barrel which will reduce friction. I get the best ranges with stock darts over stefans. In 1/2" PVC anyway.....
Tenesee23 on one modded super soaker I have a nested 1/2" CPVC 1/2 PVC sch 40 barrel that lets me fire both micro and mega stefans. The PVC just fits over my CPVC with a little elbow grease to get them together. It works pretty well but I still need to ram rod all the darts I want to fire. The CPVC section barrel is about 4 inches and the regular PVC is about another 4 inches longer covering most of the CPVC. One last point is that I dremeled the end of CPVC on the inside so that the micro stefans are more easily set into that section.
