My first snap:

[img]http://
Under the tape on the handle there is a foam sheet. Or else it is a regular mk.5 snap.

Hi guys.. I love SGnerf's R3L design but wanted a more solid ergonomic feel to it, so what I did was I took a Longstrike and dremelled away all the internal ridges and inserted the R3L into it. Here's what I got. Lemme know what u guys think.
I call it the snip3R mainly because of its looks, but it does go 130ft with the "stock" R3L coil spring.

Pump-SNAP-Crossbow Jr!
Compared to the BBB. About the same size. The infamous Pokemon blanket returns. I've got to make that pump handle longer sometime later... wrist scrapes the clothespin when priming.
Posted Image

Four inches of plunger draw, about 12" CPVC arms, with a more effficient air delivery system. Unstringing it is not possible because I screwed up the knot, so tension is removed by taking off the bow arms.
Posted Image

Bow arms are cool. You should make your SNAPs bow-powered.

^^^^^Do I really have to follow THAT up???!?!?^^^^

Anywho:

BOW

MINI BOW
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
It utilizes a butyrate plunger tube and a grommet plunger head. Shoots hawd!

I made a PVAT
Posted Image
And liked it
Posted Image
So I made some improvements (extra o ring @ front for seal, brass nipple, more)

And then I made another one
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
It's bigger.

That's 2" PVC, same length as the original PVAT, but double the diameter, takes about 10 pumps from a BS pump, and shoots through everything wiht a barrel that is obscenely long. Same improvements as the other one.

PM me with any questions 'n stuff.

ProtoSLAP - A product of FUBAR Labs

A proof of concept that uses my Suicide Trigger. The blaster is so long because the trigger is completely behind the spring. On a pump-action blaster this will allow the handle to be closer to the stock, providing enough room in the front of the gun for a pump handle to travel back and forth without sticking out past the end.

This blaster is equipped with a Chopper and the handle is wrapped in bright orange moku hitching for an improved grip.

The blaster is otherwise based on Carbon and Rork's work with the SNAP and is thus pretty comparable with other snaps.

My PAC:
Posted Image

has a clear chopper
Posted Image

And a check-skirt
Posted Image

And the handle was upgraded from rev 1 slightly differently--More polycarb, less small hardware. Also, crude because it wasn't intended to be permanent, but it's solid so I just left it there.
Posted Image

And the string stop. This was the first PAC to get one, but it was redone when I switched to a check-skirt.
Posted Image

I also think it's pretty, so I'm posting a bunch of pictures of it:

RainbowPAC

Posted Image

Functionality of these compared to the old style ones, are exactly the same. These, in my opinion, look cooler, cost less, require way less machining, and can be built much quicker than the old-style ones.

Posted Image

Standard Rainbow catch, internal coupler, and new mostly wood handle.

Posted Image

New PVC Tee style, thankfully no more hot glue. It's basically the same as the old one. Two 1 x 1 1/4" bushings with the ends cut off, are stuck into a 1 1/4" Tee, with 1" jammed all the way through. Then drill a 5/8" hole through the top for a piece of CPVC to stick in. On the underside, instead of just filling this with hot glue, we sized up the CPVC until it seals with the plunger tube, instead of having to rely on the entire Tee sealing. Up from the CPVC is, 1/2" PVC, 1/2" PVC coupler, and a segment from a 1 1/4" internal coupler.

I also used telescoping polyester tubes to hold the skirt. You can get 1/2" x 5/8" piece over the nylon to nest inside a 5/8" x 7/8" sized piece (same ID as the skirt), and two 7/8" x 1" segments to keep the skirt from moving. Cheap, easy to do, and looks cool.

Posted Image

The handle is secured from the top, with these holes allowing you to put your screwdriver where you need it. String stop allows the ability to dry-fire without causing any damage, and aligns your plunger rod at the same time.

A demonstration of tree-sized versus less than tree-sized.
Posted Image
The rainbow-chopper one is not a rainbow, and not-rainbow one is a rainbow.
As you can probably see, the mini-PAC with the rainbow catch uses a piece of white PVC. This isn't easy to install, but fortunately rainbow catches are very forgiving. I did a terrible job with the catch installation, but somehow it still works. Fires well as far as I can tell, I'd guess 90' with the 4" of draw. Contains the most compact check-skirt I have ever built--The skirt only travels about 1/8", and the whole thing only extends about another 1/8" past the skirt in the forward position. Also, hot glue has been eliminated from the T design

I've started making better alignment tools. My quest to cheapify the PAC continues.

Also, I made a fat wooden trigger, and I think I like it. It feels cushier than even a well rounded piece of polycarb plate to me, and also not needing spacers was nice.

Alright, so this isn't much, but I thought it was unique enough to share with you guys.

Blowguns can actually be very effective when used correctly, but one of their bigger downfalls is that since you need a very long barrel to get good performance with one, it's hard to carry them unless they're your primary blaster. This is especially an issue since blowguns are a great secondary longish range weapon, for if your primary blaster jams, or you run out of darts in your hopper and don't have time to reload it. Here's an idea to overcome that.

Posted Image
Posted Image

I drilled through part of the tee with a dremel drill bit. Then I put a bandolier thingy through it. I used 3 feet of pipe, and the strap was easily adjustable to be quite snug when on my back. I can easily run with this on, and is very light.

Posted Image

1/2 Sch. 40 on the top for tagger darts, and thickwall pvc for stefans. (mcmaster part 48855K21)

I can get about 65 feet with slugs at very slight angle. I really like this setup and hope to use it at my next war.

Eik, that is beautiful.

I bring forth an ancient nerf barrel setup: the breech. Intended to increase ROF on a nitefinder with streamlines. I find that making the barrel modular would not take too much more effort.
Posted Image
Posted Image

The nitefinder does not work with this, probably because of the excess deadspace.

This deadspace is because I needed to make slots for the nail handle, as shown.
Posted Image

Aand that led to making a PETG insert that fixed the massive air leak as PVC with a slot in it does not hold air very well.
Posted Image
Not very visible, though you can kind of see the PETG in there. I cut up a piece and glued it back together for the correct size.

Ranges? Better than any other barrel for my SNAPs because it's a telescopic barrel. 1" of CPVC followed by PETG. Eh. Frontloading stock darts is a pain.

After much pain and suffering, I finally finished my Tornadobow. It was my first time machining polycarb that wasn't for practice as well as my first time making templates.

It's got some improvements from the original U3 design such as:

-Aluminum that goes throughout the whole priming handle (made by louiec)
-Delrin plunger rod
-U-cup seal
-Reinforced priming handle
