For the most part all we use in nerf is an extension of the stock micro/mega nerf dart. But has anyone tried anything besides that and ballistas? I think it can still be nerf and use other projectiles like semi-dense foam spheres like 6mm in size. The raw guns got great ranges with this idea and if you imagine smaller balls made out of the same material as nerf balls you can imagine something worthwhile. Is a cylinder with a weight on the end really the ultimate projectile? So I don't have to make another topic, have you guys thought about making a continous air full automatic nerf gun like the bb shooting strafer? Its very inefficient but very simple and most likely effective.

Where do you get these bitsy balls (or are they just an idea)?

My dad's looking into making one. He claims it sounds identical to the bb gun he had as a child which used continuous air and some contraption to make sure the bb's dropped. He described it I just didn't really understand what he way saying. Its really crude but fires at 2500rpm. We're going to start this spring break. What valve are you using? Withthe strafer you want something that releases air continously, not a solenoid or button valve that releases a ton at once.

You have to search for the right size barrel material but these work great.

3/4" CPVC works great for normal paintballs so I assume it would work well with those foam paintballs.

Nice work sofaking and earl, I think these would work well in the rappn fire guns series also. I was also thinking about using ping pong balls and practice golf balls as a projectile.

Well, one time I shoved a pen down the barrel of my Blast Bazooka.
A lesson well learned...

I'm not sure if this counts, but in a lot of the wars I have with my friends, we have "grenades"... basically, rolled up duct tape we use when reloading or in a tight spot. It can be fun. Cheap, too.

Once I was screwing around and put Cheetos in my crayola barrel on my singled AT2k. That was kind of fun. I shot them at the wall and then my girlfriend's dog ate them. This probably wouldn't be effective in a war situation, however.

The last three posts are an excellent example of why I felt compelled to jump ship at NO and create a new forum site. Thanks for the memories. Now stop it.
