I recently posted this on NerfHQ. This is really interesting. It's an article about like 200 high schoolers who are hardcore nerfers. They nerf every spring within their entire community. Its a annual thing, its really insane. I don't know if this has been posted before...it's fairly old, but here it is...

well I think these teens r complete idiots. who brings a dart gun to school and plays war there? who drives around in cars and shoots the other team? that's a bit too ridiculous. I just play inside my house so the police don't shove a nightstick up my @$$. man those teens r idiots

Did you even read th article? If someone brings a nerf gun on school property, they are disqualified from the compettion. If you are playing for cash, then yeah, thats just plain stupid to do that.
I think its awesome to have a community that is so into nerfing. I wish my highschool would have donr something like that.
Im sure there are ways to make the game safer, like seting ups ome feilds and parks as "kill zones", and only have them be allowed to play there. $1600 for winning a nerf comp? Not bad... Not bad at all!

I was thinking (before NHQ's hack) about making this the premise of my on-going Nerf story I was gonna post. I may even go on with it. Time will tell.
