The only people to whom office is easily accessible is college students (who can legally get it for free depending on their school) and people who use it at their place of buisiness. If his parent's don't work in an office setting where they have office at work, they're only going to get it if they pay for it themselves.

True. But I still find it hard to believe there are a large number of people who don`t have accesss to a computer with Office, Excel or a spreadsheet program on it.

Anyway, I guess some people just won`t be able to vew the plans.........
The best I coudl do for them would be to take screenshots, but the drawings are to scale so they will not exactly fit on the screen.

Enough of that.

Here are some more pics:

Or people with access to a good torrent tracker...

Seriously, though, OpenOffice does all the MS Office file formats, is free, is cross-platform, and works well.
Also, I'll be happy to trace Boltsniper's drawings in Illustrator and host them as EPS, AI, PNG, or whatever file format people want.

well, you said it shoots 80', while that's very respectible, Perhaps, your barrel is too long? That's happened to me on several occasions. just judging by the plunger tube, and spring, I'd say it might fire at least in the 90's.

But, I've never built a springer. (at least not yet)

I tested multiple barrel lengths from about 20" down to about 5" to find which was the best. I had roughly calculated about 12" for this size plunger. It turned out that about 8" is the right length. What you see is longer than 8 inches but the front 5 or so inches is bored out and has no effect on the dart. I jsut wanted to preserve the look of the rifle. An 8 inch barrel would look a little disproportionate.

I agree with you that for the size of plunger the ranges should be higher. I attribute the loss of range on the imperfect seals made by the shells on the end of the barrel and the bolt. They make good seals but they are still not perfect and never will be. You can see this by the fact that some shells shoot better than others. The average is about 75 feet. Some shoot higher some lower.

I would like to make another upper for this rifle that does not use shells but rather jsut breach loads. I would expect this to shoot a little further.....pushing 100' maybe

I added a vertical foregrip.

Its 1/2" PVC with a rubber finger sweel grip that I yoinked for a trycycle actually. It mounts to the forend with 2 screws and is completely removable. It's very comfortable and gives the rifle a more nimble feel.

I've been looking at this topic for a long time, but I only now realized that I haven't posted in it yet.
So, anyway, you're now my idol boltsniper. This is the single greatest thing mankind has accomplished (besides that How to Kill a Mockingbird movie). I don't know how you do all this stuff---it's amazing. I don't have much else to say that hasn't been said before, but that stock is dead sexy, and the foregrip is very clever too. Keep up the amazing work.

You should try selling those for 70 dollars a pop. But the pieces probably cost that much...
I say, you should make a few more, and sell them if anyone wants to buy, but otherwise you have them just for personal fun. If you think about it, make a load of those, a few more Bolt-1's, some sweet looking pistols, and you have a sick realistic like Nerf set.
*prays that Talio isn't gonna talk about milism again*
But seriously, that poses as something really cool. Would be a good way to make some cash on the side too.

Not really step-by-step. That would be a lot of fucking steps............ I am going to post detailed plans and a general writeup. Almost done. Should be up soon. Barring I don`t get bogged down with other stuff......

You can order spring from here

http://www.gunspring.../Colt_RsNF.html

You can also order them from any AR manufacturer...like Bushmaster. They have a complete spring kit for 10 bucks I think

I'm planning to use a spring out of one of thoughs cylindrical screen door closers. I'll let everyone know how it works out, if I ever finish.

I am absolutely astounded at the downright awesomeness of this gun.
This is the truth: I joined nerfhaven forums just to post this.

I was wondering if you could list all the different pvc sizes and lengths needed to make this gun.

No gun has ever gotten me this excited ever! I think I am gonna pee my pants...
If you post any more pics of this beast I am going to have to start wearing a diaper.

Also, I was wondering if you ever considered making multiple clips instead of reloading the same on over and over...

Is it just me, but I cant view the parts list and components summary in the download? It says its an invalid range when I click on the link. Also when can music wire be purchased? I would suppose at a music store but is their an alternative, becasue my local store didnt have any. I was tihnking about jsut using a dart from my blowgun or some other suitable wire, I guess that will work.
