I did the barrel modification and put everything together, but when I try to cock it I can only cock it once and a small trace of air comes out. I can't figure out why the cocking mechanism won't work because everything looks like it is in the right spot. How can I fix it?

Is the plunger tube and plunger situated correctly? Theres a small groove it needs to sit in or it moves with the slide.
