I know Hasbro has shown Nerf guns at Toy Fair before, so I'm wondering if they'll do it this year, and how we can get our hands on some pictures. Most of the sites that cover Toy Fair only cover them for the action figures--no doubt Star Wars will be a big attraction this year. Anybody have a source we can score some pics from if Hasbro decides to show off Nerf?

We have a long-time user of few words (he was more active way back on NO) who has attended the last few toy shows and sent us pictures.

Here's one batch of Mal's photos.

Hopefully he'll be there again this year and give us the scoop.

Sweet!!! Thanks again sofa! The Nerf Rev-8 sounds promising and so do the rapid-fire blasters. The Rev-8's power-up is a cpoy off the electric eel it sounds like.

The other one sounds like a PC knockoff. But at least it looks slimmed-down this time. Hopefully they maybe put some more durable internals in this one. The REV-8 seems like it has potential, just remove the light and hopefully we'll have another good gun.

Then again,

Those look alot like slides for a cocker. If they are, can anyone say 10-shot cocking gun? Hell yeah.

If anyone does go to the toyfair, please confirm if it's a pump or cocking gun. You'd have my... ok you get the point, just someone do it- I doubt my parents would let me FLY somewhere to see a toy festival.

I agree with the cocking mech thing, but there is a neckstrap attached to it, so it would be hard to cock. I thought it would be like an A-Storm, but there is a trigger. Hot damn.

I looked really close at the pic, and it didn't really seem like a cocking mech, Although, I don't see a pump either.

The thing is, the top slide-like thing seems to be resting on some sort of rail, if you look behind it. That's what got me thinking it may be a cocking gun. Besides, I don't see a pump, unless that slide-like thing is the pump.

On the rev-8, It sounds like you could mod it to have a huge clip.
The tagger thing looks like you cock it at the top by pulling that thing back. No, it's not like the scout/mav cocking thin.

For some reason those rapid fire blasters look familiar. They have the same handle design as RF20's! Maybe they are spring guns, and to cock them you pull the handles apart as you would to shoot an Arrowstorm. That would be cool.

I think Ompa's right, the top definitely looks like a slide on rails. Spring powered, auto-rotating 10 shot?

I don't think that's a neckstrap though - looks like a belt for securing the vest.

After a little enlarging and enhancing, they look like a cocking gun. The turrent looks like an rf20 turrent with fewer barrels.

Edit:cxwq beat me to it be a few seconds :)

I wouldn't call that a few seconds... I personally think that there will never be a terrific 10 shot. I think that product won't do that good

Which gun looks like a PC knockoff? I really can't wait for a new PC since I dont want to buy one off of somebody. Also the guns that appear to be smaller clip RF20s look like they have big potential, and with 2 to a pack it could be some great dual wielding.

PS: Laser Tag
I know it's not nerf, but for people making homemade guns, it could be a nice shell.

Well, Im dfinatly seeing a rail there, but you see next to the trigger is a neon green "knob" the same color as the trigger? Looks like the trigger isnt being pushed in, just being turned a bit. Thats exactly how any automatic weapon fires, never seen a spring gun have a trigger like that, unless of course thats not an axle, and just for look,s but Im just thinking...However, the trigger seems a bit big and the wrong shape to be on the axle.

It also has handle, leading me to believe its pump, what spring gun has a handle that big and has a trigger?

Also, unless it has a really small auto rotating system if it was a automatic gun, its definatly a spring gun. There is no room-- top, bottum, or sides --for the gun to have a rotating mechanism in the front. Now if it were spring, they could just put it in the inside middle of the gun behind the turret, so theres no way in hell this thing is an auto gun, sowwy.

Damn, I was really hoping it was...I hope Im wrong...$40 for 2 10 shot auto's that look that sweet....::drools::

CX is right. It looks like a cocking gun. Now, will it have the new plunger technology?
Just wondering, though, this means that Hasbro defines that as a rapid fire gun- so the Maverick is also a rapid fire gun? And why would they just pretty much rerelease the Maverick for a tag kit- I would think they would use a different gun. Due to that, I think the cocking think could be a pump- I've seen the design on a Light Storm LS10- in fact, they look very alike.

You guys are aware that there is a self-pumping full auto gun that's still unreleased but designed by Lonnie Johnson. Not to say that they are that, but.....

Auto pumps can fit easily in your hand, just look at the ones the robotics guys used at Otawa. There could be a battery in the handle too. Oh well, all arrows point to it being a cocking gun.

Just wondering, approximately how long after last year's toy fair were the guns actually released?

Not entirely sure, but i think about 6-8 months. If I'm wrong sorry.
If the tag set is a cocker, get it, then take some bars and attach the cocker and triggers together, then duct tape the rest of the gun together. 10-shot Warthog! :D
Hi, I'm new, I'll try to not post idiotic stuff and I'm generally pretty good at using good spelling and punctuation, just for you, ompa.
