Ch-ch-ch-changes Redux

You may notice a few changes around the site this evening. For starters, new user registration is back online, effective immediately. This change is a direct result of a structural shift in the NH leadership community.
I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome our new Ambassadors, Talio and Shindig. I'm sure you're aware of their qualifications for the job so I'll just tell you about the new position. The Ambassadors will be the front line authority figures here at NH and will be in charge of resolving most user issues. They will also be handling the new user queue and utter annihilation of trolls. Lets all give them a warm welcome to the NH team!
The last change is that Vacc, Spoon, and I have shifted to more of a back-end role for the site. I will be devoting most of my time to implementing Karma and other nifty new features. Stay tuned kids, we've got a lot planned for the Haven.
As always,
Nerf on or fuck off.

I want the Contributors to be able to focus on content. It's what the group was created for. You've already submitted some great mods, we just need to decide how to expediate that kind of content actually appearing on the main site.

Excellent.
Don't retire to the back, cx. I don't want to be the only old guy around.

Hard to tell for sure though since there isn't a lot of traffic there. I'll have to dl the mod and take a look at it since we are probably switching to phpBB here.

Giving
Regular Users:
You get 5 points per day, and each Karma you give uses 1 of your points, and each counts for 1 point of positive/negative on the inflicted user. If you get X amount of positive Karma, you get an increased amount of points per day. If you get Y amount of positive Karma, your Karma points count for 2 points of positive/negative on the inflicted user. In this case, X is less than Y.
Mods:
You get like 15 points per day, and each Karma you give uses 1 of your points, and counts for 3 points of positive/negative on the inflicted user.
Admins:
You get unlimited points per day. Each counts for 5 positive/negative on the inflicted user.
Receiving
Regular Users:
If you have less than 10 positive Karma, you cannot give Karma points to other users.
Misc.
Administrator has complete power over Karma. He can set people's Karma to different levels, and he can disable specific people from using and receiving Karma.
There's probably other stuff I forgot.

A closed retarded topic? I'm not too worried about this site turning into NHQ. Thanks for your concern though.A closed topic? What the fuck? Don't turn this into NHQ.

I'd prefer if you allow time to pass before you make judgements on my moderating decisions. I do realize this is not NHQ. If you have any further comments regarding the topic in question, PM or send me an instant message. We can debate all you want. Keep this crap off the boards.A closed topic? What the fuck? Don't turn this into NHQ.

Either way, stop fucking up our welcoming topic or I might have to give the mute button a testing. Remember, all my grudges from NHQ are coming over here.
So Chrylo, Faine and anyone else that I thought was a complete hindrence to this community, this doesn't mean the slate is clean, and don't think because we're new to the site mean's somehow we're going to be weak. Keep pushing our buttons, and we might decide to push some buttons of our own.
Talio.

...And look! A simultaneous welcome / testing of your mettle, all rolled up into one clusterfuck of a topic. Regardless, welcome. I already know you're both gonna' do great.

I've been sitting in front of my laptop for ten minutes trying to figure out how that is relevant to this conversation. A simple comment regarding the actual thread topic may have been appropriate, but I don't see how this contributes at all. In the future, discontinue this practice, if for nothing else your continued presence on this forum. That's such a good song.

Don't hyjack threads; especially threads that were pretty much done with before you even posted.
