I was just curious what instrument members of NH played in their spare time. I play the saxophone as well as the piano, both for 3 years. Don't forget to post how long you have played!

I've been playing the Piano for 10 years, and the Violin, for 6 years. My piano skills SHOULD be better, except for my lack of practice.

Euphonium, low brass. 8th year. Love the dark sound that's almost tuba low but dark like a french horn. Mmmm mmmm good!

I played the trumpet four years, this year I dropped it so now I play the Baritone Ukulele.

I play guitar, and I used to play piano. I still do when I have the chance. I recently took up mandolin, too.

Guitar for 2 years, I've been hoping to learn some piano. My brother has a drum set too so I know some basic beats, and I can be independent with my right foot (bass pedal) and left arm (snare)

, but thats it.

Oboe: 1.3 years. 1st. oboe in the Concert Band at that Hamilton Music Acadamy.

I also play around with my guitar, but that doesn't count. I suck.

Guitar, Piano, and kazoo(i am really good at the kazoo). My bro has a TKO drumset with zildjian cymbals and we've got a band goin with a few of our friends. What do you guys think of the band name "Obsidian Crush"?

We had a jazz band in sixth grade, it was so awesome! We played the coolest music. But now I have no idea what's going on, 'cause we don't have one no more. :lol:

Yeah thats pretty sad Nerfmonkey. These days schools cut more and more extra curricular stuff. Maybe when you enter highschool they'll have a jazz band program.

I forgot to mention I'm also a quite good English Horn player (played it 4 times since october), but only because it's like a large oboe.

I'm also learning flute.

i hate the saprano

DEAR GOD. I can't even make a sound with the soprano, you need a really tight umbishsure(sp?), and even then you get tired really quick unless you practice alot.

Clarinets much much worse. My band teacher wanted me to play that thing. I hated it and avoided it. Although it is a tough instrument to master and i respect anyone whos good at it.
