due to my obsessions with shot guns and anything with a spread shot, i am making an air gun that will be capable of accurately shooting 7 stephans over a long distance (over 100') and can go through cardboard at over 40'
its design will be based on a spud gun, just smaller and hand held.
i am hoping to make it look something like the flak cannon from UT2003
(thanks to ompa for the inspiration to make it look like something)
will be sort of customisable with mostly threaded joints
unfortunately there will be no breech loader but the barrel will slide out for reloading

800mm x 40mm pvc barrel (will unscrew and replace with 15mm barrel for single shot)
2 500mm x 40mm chambers (will unscrew for single use)
20mm steal ball valve

the chambers will sit either side of each other with the barrel sitting on top.
havent got all the parts yet.
will cost around $30au.
pictures soon

You're going to need a few extra arms.

i have all the parts for it now exept the 20mm ball valve

fittings for chambers
chambers in the fittings

with the chambers, when i get the money, there will be valves between them and the fittings
for multiple shots

will be finished by wednesday because i have to get the firing valve
other than that its done

I know It goes against the whole home-made feel of the gun, but it would be sweet if you maybe like, took the innards of two like at1ks and stuck them on the side, and maybe stuck some pvc on em for range?

I wouldn't reccomend using that ball valve anymore, with those size chambers. Try a sprinkler valve, if you have access to one. Much faster actuation.

i have seen plenty of sprinkler valves and they are a bit more expensive and the ball valve im going to get will open fairly quick for a ball valve.

the problem with me taking the innards from an at1k is that the only nerf gun i can find in the shops is a switch shot max and my mum wont let me order over ebay.
i have been wanting the trigger out of a nerf gun though but $20 is a bit too much for me to pay for it

its finished and i have decided to wave the flak cannon idea goodbye
it looks a bit bent but thats because i havent put brackets on it and its a bit heavy

i am hoping to give it a few coats of ferrari yellow
and for nerfing it will have only one chamber and a 15mm barrel

Double post, double post, triple post, nice. I think that it looks a little big but hey, its a cannon. Why can't you get ranges, don't you have a tape measure, or feet? Anyway, good job.

Looks great! My advice: put some support between those lengthy pvc pieces so their weight isn't stressing the end elbow joints. Try something like this:

Supports are in red, forgive my 30-second paint image :)
