I don't know any songs or bands that sing about killing girlfriends or eating babies. You people are so close minded it's not funny. Don't talk about things you have NO CLUE about. Even Maralyn Manson's music doesn't sing about crap like that, atleast all the lyrics i've seen. Sure he may make refrence to anti-religeous stuff, but he also doesnt do it strait out. I have actually met and talked to manson before and he is actually very intelegent ( I get backstage passes alot for venues in philly, I have connections. I do for photography not the music ).

Marylin Manson is the best example of gothic rock anyone has said yet in this forum. Slipknot and korn are not in the "hard rock" genre, they're in the "possesed clown" genre. Have you seen the way slipknot dresses? I know they're supposesed to dress like that as part of the act, but those costumes still kind of remind me of drag queens...shudder...

First off, take a joke Ninjz. Seriously.

Second, I agree that Marilyn Manson is one of the smartest guys around. I've heard him talk a few times, but the one that stands out most was with Michael Moore in Bowling for Columbine. The guy's brilliant. On top of that, his lyrics are amazing.

Lastly, Cannibal Corpse, unfortunately, wouldn't surprise me in the least if they talked about killing girlfriends or eating babies? Have you heard their music? They're your perfect stereotypical sick and twisted necrophiliacs.

Manson is a cool guy.

I can take a joke. I can't stand people talking about stuff and giving opinions on it without even knowing what they're talking about. I also didn't see any sarcasim tags...I read all posts as if they had no tone.

Canibal Corpse does not have any lyrics about killing their girlfriends or eating babies. They have some other sick lyrics, but not about eating babies and crap. I've also chatted with the lead guitarist backstage before, he said the singer barely even sings the real lyrics half the time and just screams in the sound of words. They're moer about the loud hard crazey music and drinking.

Here. Knock yourself out and read some of those lyrics. These lyrics are fucked up. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Uh huh, so sure. That wasn't the smartest thing you could've come up with, I can see you doing better. Of course he screams, well, more roars; but he says the words. I wish you would give up. Their lyrics clearly speak of raping corpses of past girlfriends, drinking the menstrual fluid of virgin girls, and cutting up bodies while saving the sexual organs as trophies. There are a few songs that talk about eating young children, but they are told from Satan's point of view.

Ninjz, I've heard and read their music.

I just can't stand how people talk about stuff and give their opinions on things when they don't know what they're talking about.

Dick.

Haha, that reminds me of when he says something on the lines of:
"Your girlfriend won't fuck you if you have pimples"
And since we watched it during class, it was hilarious.

Also, to help you categorize your music, here are a few examples of bands and what genres most people would put them in (I think.)

Pop: Brittany Spears, Aslee Simpson, Avril Lavigne, Backstreet Boys
Classic Rock: Led Zepplin, The Who
Modern Rock: Incubus, Counting Crows, Red Hot Chili Peppers
Punk: The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, Anti-Flag
Pop-Punk (sub genre): New Found Glory, Good Charolette, Simple Plan
Emo: Dashboard Confessional, Jets to Brazil
Metal: Metallica, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Black Sabbath
Hair Metal (sub genre): White Snake, Warrant, LA Guns
New Wave: Nena, Culture Club, Blondie
Rap: Dr. Dre, Outkast, Nas, Eminem
R&B: Usher, Ruben Studdard
Country: Alan Jackson, Alabama, Shania Twain
Oldies: Beach Boys, The Monkies
Ska: Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish

Those are just some examples of some genres.

OK that was kind of random, but ah why don't you go and nerf a little, instead of sitting around waiting for new post in off-topic forum so you can respond like a little bithch. When was the last time u nerfed? LIke 2 summers ago?

That was a good one. Bravo. I nerfed a few times last summer... and for those of you who don't know, once you have a real life it is sometimes hard to find time for all of your hobbies... You see I have this thing called work, and then this other thing called college, and then this other thing called an apartment which comes with responsibilities and such, I know this is beyond your realm of comprehension and all, but try and understand. (yes, I like run-on sentences).

Oh, and in response to the 66% in off topic thing...

Yeah, that would be because of the mass amount of sheer idiocy on these boards. Every now and again I try and help someone with some general Nerf issues, but no one is really appreciative of it. Most of the stuff the newer generation of Nerfers have contributed to the community are mostly all innovations that we already though of, tried, and wrote off by now. I have very little to gain from any of you regarding Nerf, and the mass of you seem to want to continue to keep digging up old ideas and reinventing them constantly. I think the only person here that I can learn from regarding nerf is CX, the rest of you just make contributions that are worthless to me. I'm sorry, but what is going on right now in the nerf community just isn't all that gripping to me. Until one of you graduates college with a masters in engineering or something, I don't think that fact will change.

So sorry to have offended you Rambo, but this forum is the one that actually has interesting conversation from time to time. Try talking to me when you have been here a bit longer than 6 months or whatever.

Oh, hey, >Fuse<, I'm not sure what exactly you are implying by that post, but if it is what I think it is, blow off. If not, ignore the previous sentence.

Back to my original point:

I agree with Blackwrath, I absolutely hate it when people try and outline a band or genre without ever experiencing first hand. It's irritating.
