helpful, informative or funny...

Truthfully, at one time, I went on NH everyday to read Lee's posts and threads because he was so freakin retarded it was funny... counting in all the flames people said to him too.

Which brings me to what I've noticed. I know many people have noticed that NH is quite a bit more aggressive than NHQ towards unintelligent posts (and people). BUT, NHQ has so many more posts (average) in one day than NH

You kidding me? One NHQ one person makes a mistake, and you get tons of wannabee nubfucks on their case, it pisses me off. Everyone thinks their such a hot shit, they post whore, and they have no life. NHQ has transformed from a decent site to a fagfest, with an exception of several members. NH has one person telling a newb, in a decent manner, how to behave. You guys are living in the past, wake up.

As a personal experiance as an example: I haven't visited the Haven in about 4 days, why ? Because I don't expect to find enough to satisfy my "nerf"-curiosity. ON the other hand I do visit NHQ on a daily basis, because I think I'll find something interesting, which I usualy do.

Yeah, shoving kittens in a jar is...worth reading about? There was one kid over at NHQ who was proud that he was the first to post about the maverick. he didnt invent it, he posted it. You know he was bragging about how fast he got posts. Thats the point where you know you need to get a life. we get legitimate questions here, the newbs learn, somethign that doesnt happen often at the HQ. They ahve "respected" members over their who dont know shit. Dont get me wrong mayhem, I respect you, you contribute, and only post worthy stuff, but the things that go on over there? Hehe. Im in a good mood, wrestled two weight classes up and pinned my guy in 45 seconds. But I can safely say hes a scrub without spazzing out because I strapped a handle, a stock on the 2k, single barreled it, and named it after a respected British guy. Horrible namesake.

I think that to give the mods some time to beat the shit out of the new guys, we close the doors for two weeks every two months. That might help straighten out the antics of some of the newer folks if there is an occaisional block of new, stupid people.

You have a small weenie! A SMALL WEENIE!

KirByOrDiE2592,

You sound like a very intelligent guy. In fact, I think you would have so much to add to my forums that it brings me nearly to tears that my site is not currently accepting new members.

I'm sure you're just testing me though because someone of your incredible mental stature would obviously have noticed the following error message when attempting to register:

"The board administrator is no longer accepting any new registrations at the moment."

So hey, thanks for the email. I'll be sure to open registration right up for you!

Warmest regards,

C

I know this topic is a bit old, but i saw a very good example of Karma today. It was found while browsing my deviantART, and appears in the comment system they use.

Okay, lets look at it this way, the person who has points, reads a post and rates it [in this case, any user browsing DA]

Posted Image

A user can then select what sort of style they want to read. High quality posts, newest posts, or just all posts. This can be done with the filter options that you select.

Yeah, thats just one small example of one small part of Karma. And yeah, that was lamens terms and all. Should be pretty simple and all.
