Airsoft, what length did you give to your barrels? I'm going to post how-to within 3 days because I know how to remove the stock barrels now.

Langley: I'm pretty sure you figured it out for yourself finally, but if you need an example look at the Eagle Eye and how much space it takes up. Since the barrel on a reverse plunger blaster is housed inside the piston rod, which is impossible on standard blasters, it takes less space. And, you don't have the ugly looking lever extending out of the back of the gun.

Thirst, a reverse plunger "rifle" would be great, because you could make it cock with a pump action pretty easily.

Yeah, but the back would have to be bigger to make room for the plunger tube. If the plunger tube is "rifle" size, it would have to be big, and the room for it to move would have to be even bigger, so it would be a pretty big gun. Not that thats bad, but they could make a smaller "rifle" using less space.

Or a similar sized rifle with alot more plunger space, which equals more power. Of course, they wouldn't do it due to safety, but it doesn't prevent any of our homemade geniuses from doing it *pokes Zero and boltmaster*

49 feet flat is pretty damn good. Angled that means 80+ feet. People stated the modded scout got 50 feet flat....er..angled maybe and the spring looks larger. An unmodded Nightfinder gets 62 feet max angled, about 35-40 flat.

I take my 'so lame' statement back. The reverse plunger method isn't lame, its the size of the tube they used that is lame.

I guess we could just find stronger springs for modding, but I really would like it if they used a bigger plunger tube and more restriction in the recent pistols.

I guess we can't have everything huh.

If only they could sell like a New Year Magnum Maverick, which is like 2x bigger... because a primary with this mechanics scheme would rock. Hard.

For a given dart type, range, power, and velocity are equivalent metrics.

ok i just got my maverick today at target,I think its decent stock(sorta)since i only play cqb and in side houses the most range i would need is about 60' flat.but stock it gets 30ish flat.i did the cylinder mod the peg remover mod and my own top seceret modd which now puts me in the 50'-53' out of 60 shots(ten full clips). B)
since i play cqb i painted it all black except the front of the grip handle the cocking handles grey part and the cylinder(painted it grey)and i E-taped a mini mag lite(the $10 flash lite that are the size of a dart)and its pimpin.but now its great for all in door wars.(aka church wars basement wars full house wars)but ya its a great side are to a hornet for indoors.when u own some one with a rapid fire 20 and all u got is a mav all they do is ;)

Pardon being a noob, but what effect does brass tubing have when used in a Nerf gun? Also, does anyone have a pic/design as to how increase accuracy/range of the Maverick? But just an idea...can the priming of the gun take off of the rotating barrel action instead of the main grey priming mechanism? This would make the Maverick semi automatic.

That is a simple mod that can increase your range by a bit.

Brass tubing is smooth, so it has low friction with a dart. You can also telescope brass because of the variety of measurements and the Thickness of the brass.
