I'd have to say the Air tech line or Air jet line because they had great ROF and great range.

I voted n-strike just beacuse many new nerfers have been asking for guns and dont know where to get them, but now nerf came out with the n-strike, almost an arsenal in a box. In my opinion it has given new nerfers the chance to play when they might not have been able to due to lack of other guns on the current market. I hope hasbro will continue to add to this line of guns and so far no gun in this line has been bad, these are probably the best buch of nerf guns (stock) ive ever seen.

[Edit]- 3nerfiteers, i love your signature. :P

I agree with 1313, to me airtech was a real downer to alot of new nerfers who can't mod for whatever reason. N-strike is a nice gun set on the market that made newbs continue interest in nerf.

Either the N-Strike or MaxForce (that was what they called the animal themed ones, right?)

The N-Strike was cool because it started in the old days (remember Roto-Track?) and now has contributed a great deal to the resurgence in Nerf and the revival of my arsenal.

The MaxFoce, on the other hand, is home to the Razor Beast, which sucked but I always loved the style. It also made the Warthog, which is by far my favorite Nerf brand gun. I seriously almost cried when mine died. I used to win wars with that gun alone.

My favorite dart-gun line is the SuperMaxx line. My 2500, 5000 and 500s are still my favorite guns. But it would never be my favorite if it werent for the Larami made earlier guns, so I dont know if I should say its my favoire line of Nerf guns.

Hypsersight owns all.

BBB, LNL, EAB aswell as mono balst and soo many others.

N-strike has started off good, but lets see what else they release in the line.

You probably should have included the power nerf line.

Okay, to clarify some things, i never said airtechs are bad once you mod them. I was talking about how when i used to nerf without modding and was young then. Alot of kids out there for whatever reason don't mod play with nerf, i never said i didn't. Out of the box airtechs weren't really that good. Grammar is a privlage, use it wisely.

I voted SuperMaxx because it's the series that was out when I first discovered modifying and playing with Nerf blasters (actually my son's one, then the habit kind of migrated to the office, where almost everyone in my department (4 staff and 12 volunteers) became addicted.

Though I've modifed for myself and others, over 50 blasters, the majority (30+) were air-powered. I think more by necessity than choice, since most everything (except the SM350, AT1000, TT, NF, Scout, and ballguns) made after the SuperMaxx line was air-powered, anyway. All the older school springers were either my nephew's or I bought them on eBay or from NerfHaven.

So though I do like the Hypersight line of blasters, I'm still biased toward the air-powered lines, primarily SuperMaxx.

And Nerfnewbie, you can win wars with a 25' ranged blaster. It depends on your playing style. I prefer dynamic, fast-moving wars as opposed to planting the butt on the ground and pretending to be a loser, so we tend to go with decent ROF than one shot mini cannons. Not that our blasters aren't modified, but like NinjZ said in another post thread, 4-6 shots @ 70-80 feet are better than one shot @ 100 feet. And the 25'? That's when we rush the guy with the one shot cannon while he reloads.

Im a big supermaxx fan also, for many of the same reasons. The SM 1500 was my first mod and I still love it so much. I think it had to of the greatest guns ever seen in nerf, the SM1500 and the SM5k. Both are easy mods, have great distances, especially the 5k, and the 1500 has a great ROF. The SMs will always have a special place in my heart.

SuperMaxx got my vote. N-Strike and SuperMaxx are my favorite lines, but SM was freakin' awesome. I am kind of suprprised that Airtech got as many votes as N-Strike (5), because I was highly dissapointed in that line. I never liked the Airtech guns. N-Strike and SuperMaxx are both great Nerf gun lines.

but like NinjZ said in another post thread, 4-6 shots @ 70-80 feet are better than one shot @ 100 feet. And the 25'? That's when we rush the guy with the one shot cannon while he reloads.

That is one of my favorite things to do in Nerf. Especially when you surprise 'em.

Umm, I've got a question. What would the Tech Target and the old Nite Finder be categorized in?

:( I know this is off topic but it would be dumb to start a new thread but it has to be said. NERFHQ IS GONE!!! Maybe it is just temporary or maybe my computer is messed up. But a window pops up saying the website could not be found. I tried it again and again but it didn't work. I wonder if it shuts off after a certain time and that is why I can't access it. I wouldn't think so though.

I put Supermaxx. While my war arsenal consists of a modified Crossbow, a brassed Lock 'n Load, and a Brassed Nite Finder, those were all from different Lines. The Supermaxx line had nothing come out of it that was really BAD. The only things from it that could possibly be considered borderline mediocre would be the SM 250, and the later 350. Everything else was excellent. All of them were easy to modify or did not require you to do so. The Airtech line was excellent once modded, overall, but they were not easy to modify for newer people. The Max Force line had some Kick-a guns, but none of them are really used, modified or otherwise, in acutal wars very often, as they are cool, but do not have ths uperior perfformance, when or when not modified that other guns do. The Airjet/Power Plus Line was excellent, and came out with several instant classic heavy-hitters, such as the Splitfire (an all-time fav) the Secret Shot 2 (another all-time fav) the Powerclip (yet [I]another all-time fav) as well as the Wildfire. All of those are excellent guns, as are the RF 20 and Blastfire, but that line was pretty much Hasbro trying out their new legs in the realm of semi- and full-auto nerf guns. There weren't any good multi-shot good blasters that can be used by Single-shot lovers or lovers of the plunger or pump and rotate systems. It was all rapid fire, so it didn't appeal to all areas of nerf. The Hypersight line was great, with the BBB, EaB, Loack 'n Load, all that fun stuff, but there were only really those three that were REALLY good in the line. Same with the Original line. It had excellent stuff, like the crossbow, but overall, ,most of the stuff wasn't that great. Cyber stryke came out with some other instant classics, like the Ratchetblast, Commlink II guns, and the Auto grip (some would say the Perceptor as well). Another fun one from Cyber Stryke was the Rototrack. Still, not too many of them really made a mark in people's active war arsenals as much as Hypersight, Original, Airjet, and Supermaxx did, but overall, I think that in all honesty, Supermaxx rises above them all. You can't argue with a well modded Supermaxx 1500.

The Lock n' Load was the first gun that I seriously modded. For a solid two years I used dual LnL's in all my Nerf wars. I just love the feel of that gun. It became a part of me....

i'll drink to that... as far as i'm concerned, there is no sidearm that could replace my locknload.

I voted for the N-Strike line, not just 'cause I'm new, but because for one thing, there is a variety of guns in it, some with good RoF (Hornet), some with amazing range (Titan) and some that are concealable and have good range and accuracy and pretty good RoF (Nite Finder, although that wasn't really in the N-Strike line). So, you could basically have only the N-Strike guns and still have at least one gun good for each type of war. I love the Supermaxx line too, though. :(
