I just opened my new airtech 2000s and I wanted to know if I glued 1/2'' pvc 8'' long over the little white tube sticking out of the air tank would it get better ranges than a 6'' quad barrel mod?

Yes, it would get much better range than with the quad barrel mod. It just makes for a more direct air passageway and illiminates any possible way for air to escape if you have a good seal between the tank and barrel.

Four shots of 80-90' > one 100' shot.

I have wars in my yard and I like to shoot people without them knowing where it came from and every foot counts so no Ninjz,80ft. is not more than 100.

nerfnewbie, here are your options. Make a single barrelled breech, and get 100 feet, but be limited to losing. Or, you could quad-barrel it, and it can be a loser and trooper weapon. Or you could do good ol' Lefty (Southpaw)'s double AT2K or AT3K and AT2K integration.

It's not more than 100', but who takes shots at over 70'? You're missing the point dude. 100' range but with slow reload or slightly less range with faster RoF where you usually arent shooting much over 80' anyways? I'll take the four barrel.

Buy the two pack and single one, and turret mod the other. As long as your mods are good, I bet you would like the turret better.

He was asking what had better range, not the better ROF.

OR, you can single barrel the AT2k, get 120'+, and then use the turret on an sm5k, and get a horrifically ugly gun, but turreted and gets 110'+ each shot. Anyways, someone told me that I had put a single barreled at2k type mod up around here somewhere, so you might want to search for that. Or the one on Nerfworld.com

1313, while that is true, having 10 extra feet isn't always the better way.

I dont know why other people have something against break barrel pump guns, but I think that if you're gonna single barrel the at2k, you ought to glue on a coupler rather than just a hunk of pvc. Just my opinion.

I single-barreled with 8" pvc and got 130' with sonic micro, definitely worth the extreme range to single barrel it

Good opinion. That's what I did. I put a 4" piece of CPVC onto the airtank nozzle, and all you have to do is add on a nother 4" piece of CPVC with a coupler, which I conveniently made a crapload of for my NF. Viola! Multi-purpose modding.
