I apologize (spell check) for posting so many new topics but I am just starting out and I am very curious. I just love the concept of marker barreling because it is simple and easy to obtain the materials required. Also because they shoot micros, or even better stefan micros. I know they can transform guns that shoot megas. But i wondered if you can modify guns that shoot balls or missels with crayola barrels so the ammo is more reallistic. For instance, could you use a crayola and pvc breech mod on a Titan to make it shoot micros? Could you modify a Ballzooka with crayola barrels to shoot multiple micros? Are there virtually no limits? Thank you for your help.

Well I've never liked Crayola barrels but I don't know if you can do a breech mod with a Crayola barrel. I have heard of people modifying their ballzooka's to make it shoot darts, but if I where you I would just try to find brass. (Ace has it and hobby shops and actualy Big R has it  ) Brass seems to work alot better for me and with all the different sizes of it the sky is basically the limit. (dependeing on what the limit is ^_^ )

well i dont want to fool with all the different sizes and lengths of brass. and besides i got a pack of markers in my backpack right now. and of corse you can breech with crayola barrels. though i probably would just use a stick to stuff 'em down instead of breeching. i would rather use crayola barrel rather than brass. just my opinion. if i dont like it i can take it out and replace with brass anyway. thanks again for your help.

Yes, do a search with a way-back parameter, look up Titan Mod, and you can adapt that mod to use crayolas.

I would recommend using RoseArt brand markers. They are cheaper ($0.80 for a box of 10 at Target) and usually are more smooth on the inside.

If you use markers, you will want to overlap each marker with pvc. The markers themselves will not have great accuracy unless you add the pvc to stabilize the dart.

The success of Crayolas depends a lot on the gun, at least in my experience. I crayola'd my Roto-Track and got a good boost in range by using micros. My Splitfire with crayolas is also very good. Some guns, however, are too powerful and you will need to put a longer barrel in.

I used a Crayola barrel in my Laser Fang and it shoots even stock micros at least forty-five feet flat. I am also going to see if they will fit my Sneak Shot and Eagle Eye. (The barrels, not the darts.) The barrels also fit my NF, but all it does is decrease range and power. :D But it worked good on my LF and on my NF, sort of.

In my experience, you are better off walking to the nearest hardware store and buying a length of pvc. Damn crayola barrels never got me anywhere. In fact, I dont know why but they've never even shot for me. I had to dissassemble my at1k and use a different material because I forgot to test the barrel beforehand, and it was too small. I've tried about three different brands including roseart, crayols, and fly'in colors.always test the barrel before the mod.

If your crayolas arent helping there could be two problems that I see.

First be sure the dart fits in the marker well. Obviously, as with any other barrel material you need a good fit. Also be sure the marker doesnt have any obtrusions inside it. Some markers have ridges that you will need to cut out.

Second be sure the barrel is sealed well with the marker. I wrap the base of mine in electrical tape, then if needed wrap the rest of it in duct tape. The electrical tape is smooth and makes a good seal, and the duct tape afterwards will help to keep the marker straight in the barrel.

The whole problem is that the marker was too small, and the dart (stefan micro) was much to tight a fit. There were no protrusions, they were smooth inside. I like pvc or brass better. Thanks though.

If you crayola barrel basically anything but a pistol, you need to add 1/2'' pvc over it. I thought all you guys new that. That helps the accuracy on higher power guns that need longer barrels. But my point was can you make ball shooting guns shoot stefans with a crayola barrel? Can you make high-powered missle shooting guns shoot stefans with a crayola barrel?

Ballguns usually dont release air fast enough to fire darts well.

As for a larger missile type gun, I would imagine the original barrel would be far too large to use a crayola in. You would have to bridge quite a gap to seal it.

all of us guys DO know that. I tried it on a nitefinder and a at1k.I think you might be able to use a crayola barrel on, like , a blast bazooka, but nothing ballshooting.the marker barrels are too short to make much of a difference on a big gun like the said blast bazooka.

Last Man Standing, we understand that your darts are thick. You said that 1/2" pvc works best for you. That's great, but most of the darts we all make are much too loose in pvc, so we need a tighter barrel material.

Not only are crayola barrels the right size for our darts, but they also fit inside pvc for added accuracy.

As for using crayola barrels in a missile launcher, you will need to glue the crayola barrel onto the air nozzle. Load a dart, and slide a 12-16" section of pvc over the barrel. That is the easiest way to breech load a crayola on a strong shooter.

For ball guns, crayolas don't usually work. Some ball guns use physical impact to launch the ball (Motorized ballzooka, Cyclotron), while others don't produce enough compressed air quickly (Ballzooka, Pulsator).

Yeah, in my experience, crayola barrels have been a bit tight for my stefans. This is where a dremel comes in real handy, because you can open up (and smooth out) the crayola barrel a bit. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with them. Get the smelly markers. They're cool.
