Hey no need to bash, it's quite interesting actually. DId you shape that small enough to fit in regular nerf barrels? Could you give a rough estimate of the ranges? Because I think that it's hard to be airtight unless you have some sort of covering around the outside of the dart.

I'm sure ompa will be interested...

What kind of wood did you use?
Does that go in or over a barrel?

That's pretty creative. They might sting a little if you get hit by them, though. I would be interested in hearing about the accuracy and ranges you could get with these darts.

Interesting? Perhaps.

Doesn't belong on a Nerf forum though.

Perhaps http://dowelshootingairgun.com has something for you?

i pumped it up tp 20 psi
shot it out of the shed
it hit the roof of the carport
snapped the tail off
so i made another tail and glued it on

it is fit for 20mm pvc but im thinking about making one for 15mm pvc riser

it is airtight
i coveredthe base or the big bit on the end with hot glue so air doesnt come out of the grooves

its some soft wood i found in the back yard
we are renovating and it is offcuts from the frames

it is realy light weight
and it has a bolt on the end for a weight
i dont intend to shoot people with it because it would easily break skin
i have a big hole in my leg from a normal dart at 80psi

Periods?

To make it stronger, you could drill a dowel-sized hole in the back of the main part, then glue the dowel into that hole. Mechanical joints are (nearly) always better than adhesive ones.
Also, angle the fins along the axis of the dowel to spin-stabilize it. This will tend to make it more accurate.

the fins are angled and the thin peice of wood holding the fins on goes all the way throught the dart thingy

Hey, dipshit.

Did you read the bit where I said this doesn't belong on a Nerf forum?

/sigh/
