If you take a piece of brass the fits over 9/16 (or whatever your barrel is) and put an inch or two instead of a barrel and just load the dart into the 9/16 brass and pop it in the "barrel". I did this with my titan and it works great.

I think I vaguely understand...Can you clarify that and possibly post pictures?

If it's what I'm thinking, then the stefan goes into the barrel (I'm guessing a break barrel design is what's necessary), but the brass case goes over the barrel.

Wait, so it's like a normal breech, but the dart goes in to the barrel, and the barrel's wider. Not so much new as an improvement (and I use that word loosely) on an existing method.

It is like using a pvc coupler but the coupler is the brass. You take about 2 inches of a piece of brass that fits perfectly around your barrel ( I use 9/16 ), the barrels should natrually slide together. Like in cxwq's BAMF homemade when he joined two pieces of brass to make a longer barrel, except use 19/32 brass as your barrel but put only 2 inches on your gun. Then take a piece of 9/16 brass however long you want and put a dart in the back, then slide the 9/16 brass into the 19/32 all the way then pump/cock and shoot. This just enables you not to have to use a ram rod or a pvc coupler which "sticks" to much I think. I put this on the titan and I get the same range as ompa, without having to push a dart down a 20 inch barrel. To my surprise, the barrels have an airtight fit. I hope you can understand, if not feel free to ask questions.

I understand your idea but don’t think that it would be That…useful. The whole point of a breech is for two reasons…1 being that you don’t need a ramrod and 2 being that the smaller section is tighter than the barrel section which creates the max pressure behind the dart until the break (the first sign of movement behind the dart.) Therefore shooting the dart to its maximum potential.

Good idea though but I just don’t see it being that useful.

To improve on this idea you could go two sizes up from the preexisting size of the small piece then nest that in 19/32 then put 9/16 inside that. But there is no reason to do that.

Or put a 19/32 piece of brass on the gun, and stick a couple inches of 17/32 in the back of a 9/16 (I'm sure there's a way).

eff breech loading... too complicated, too easy to break. gave up on it years ago.

got a long barrel? get a long stick. works just as well at loading a dart close to your plunger or air tank, and won't break..

So... if I understand what 1313 is saying... He's got a two inch (or so) stub of brass permanently attached to the gun, and a three inch (or so) peice over that. He rams his dart down into the shorter peice, and then slides another peice the same size (but longer, of course) into the three inch peice...

Yeah, but that takes time. How is breech loading complicated you glue a PVC coupler onto the barrel of the gun, and the you put the PVC in. It's not that hard (although it sounds like it). Too easy to break? Use super glue with a combination of epoxy and/or hot glue.

Another thing about breech loading is that you can telescope barrels for maximum efficiency, while you can tear up darts useing a ramrod.
