Well, since I haven't contributed any mods lately, I figure I'll show you all what I've been working on recently.

My friend has an obsession with the shotgun from Halo, and an even greater obsession with it in Halo 2. So, since I happened to have a spare AT2k, I decided to make one. Here's the progress so far, it's missing a barrel, being sanded, and a paintjob, but I think it's fairly accurate structurally except the tube poking out. And yes, it WILL have a trigger and trigger guard, and the little sight rail thing on the top as soon as I get my grubby hands on some balsa. And yes, the grip WILL be present. I've basically memorized what the thing looks like, so have no fear, there will be more on it.

i'd use something stronger than balsa for the sight rail...stuff breaks when you look at it. .032 aluminum would be perfect.

It's already on there. The pump handle is the pump handle of the regular shotgun, and the chamber is already on there. It's what that funny hose is attached to.

Added the barrel, secured (kind of) the pump, starting to take the familiar shotgun shape.

Still taking suggestions for the sight rail- I realize aluminum may be more sturdy, but I just don't have the right tools to make a really clean cut, and make it look good. So I might just use a thin, long, rectangular piece of whatever kind of wood I can find in that shape.

That's a 45 inch sword in the picture for size comparison.

Trigger guard is already made, as well as the trigger, both will be glued on tomorrow, assuming I have enough epoxy left to do so.

I would really suggest tinsnips for the aluminum ompa. You can get a very decent pair for about $2 at Home Depot Pro.

eck, no! tinsnips leave an icky edge and are bad at cutting perfectly straight lines. also they warp the material being cut.

On a gun such as this that employs advanced quantum mechanics like "saw", "pipe", and "adhesive", I can see how you'd be lost. I would guess that with the proper funding, and years of painstaking research, one might be able to duplicate this feat of near-magical scientific achievement.
While on the topic of things pertaining to subatomic particles, you might need to turn up the bogon filter between your brain and your fingers, there seems to be a leak.

Looks pretty cool Ompa. I'm sure I'd have a few friends who'd like to get their hands on one of those.

Nerfboi, he's kinda right. What you see there is about as self-explanatory as it gets. You can't really need more instructions that what's there... I just took an AT2k, single barreled it, and in my opinion (once I'm done), made it look cooler.

All you need is pvc, bondo, and epoxy. And a spare AT2k.

And I just realized the mid-portion of the shotgun is about 2 inches too short. Damnit. Oh well, not much I can do now...
