I got a crossbow for my birthday which is today. As a second part of the present my dad is taking me out to get all the stuff I need to mod it. I am really having trouble deciding how to mod it and whether to try to figure out how to make a breech loading crossbow or if I should use rawray7's mod or ragnorocks' mod. If you have any suggestions or crucial facts that would sway my decision please respond. Thanks!

Personally I'd just go with a normal PVC coupler breech for micro stefans:

1/2" PVC
1/2" PVC coupler
9/16" K&S brass
17/32" K&S brass
epoxy
plumbers goop

If you intend to enhance the power supply as well:

replacement spring or bungies
1/8" x 2" bolts and nuts (2) to reinforce the spring wall
16 (or so) gauge steel wire to reinforce plunger

I really need more help. Can you give me the measurements for the PVC and Brass. Some instructions would be great too. Do I basically do rawray's mod and just make the barrel a breech or is it totally different? Please Help I have to leave NOW!!!

2 1/2" PVC couplers
12" of 17/32" k+s brass
12" of 9/16" k+s brass
a foot or so of 1/2" pvc (just buy more, you'll need it later and its cheap)

the rest cxwq explained already.

Haha, nice use of sarcasm. Wait. Shit.. That wasn't sarcasm was it...

No, not really. I for one can vouch that I don't have a life.

Today was awsome. I got all the shit I needed plus 4 AT2K's, 2 NF"S, an RF20, and a retarded Razorfin to top it all off. Thanks for all the help. Oh, I don't know how to make a breech loader with the brass and stuff so some help would be great! :P

For the Crossbow it's basically a sch40 coupler at the end of the plunger tube. Then, the barrels are interchangable.

Well how do I make the breech loader. I have 17/32 brass and 9/16 brass for telescoping, sch40 18" PVC pieces, 2 couplers and so on. I also have all the reinforcement stuff but I couldn't manage to find the stronger spring. Any suggestions on where to find the spring?

Dude, the breach is pretty self explanitory. Glue the coupler on the plunger tube, done. Load a dart into your barrel, stick barrel into the coupler tight enough it wont fall out, shoot, repeat.

You don't NEED a new spring, you can just put on rubber bands or a bungee chord.

Or, you could do it the fun way...

1. Take 1.5" of pvc and glue 2" of 17/32 brass in it. (You will need to wrap the brass in electrical tape to make it fit snug.)

2. Goop the pvc onto the plunger tube (Flat end, not the end with the brass sticking out).

3. Goop the coupler over the brass end.

Now for the barrel:
Glue 10" of 9/16 brass in a 12" section of pvc. (Again, wrap the brass in electrical tape)

Let Dry!!!!

Load the dart in the brass inside the coupler. Slide the long barrel into the coupler so it slides over the inside brass. Fire!

Just to make this clear, this design is based off of Cxwq's maxshot barrel.

Just to make this clear, this design is based off of Cxwq's maxshot barrel.

Thanks for that...

I really don't see why everyone has to discuss each and every gun like it's a completely new barrel mod. Helllooooooo? The Xbow, BBB, and Max Shot are all basically the same mod. Likewise for the LnL, NF, TTG and SSII. Likewise for the AT2k, AT3k, AT4k, SM1.5k, SF, SS2, etc, etc...

I assumed when I posted the Max Shot writeup nobody would have to ask me how to do a high power spring gun any more - I've already photographed, written up, and posted my response! There just isn't that much variety in nerf guns. Except for some trivial bits like cutting away the case or how to attach the barrel, there are really only like 5 or 6 mods out there.

Moose, It's stille asy to make a breech with brass. You stick teh brass inside the PVC and use the PVC coupler as your breach. If you still have questions just search dude, this isn't rocket science.
