Last night I waited in the Michigan cold with my roommate to get our hands on a copy of Halo 2 at EB games at midnight. 2 hours later we had it in the x box and were to bask in it's light.
I've only seen the first couple levels, but holy crap it is beautiful. Double fisting weapons is sweet sweet sweet. The Enemies are a little bigger a little tougher and more varies (the fliers are a pain)
There is a lot more for me to look into and I can't wait to start in on it after my classes today.

I just picked up Halo 2 Limited Collector's Edition today at EB Games and two master cheif T-shirts. I have my food including Red Bull and Bawls, and have the room perfectly clean and orginized.

All I have to do is wait for my brother to come home in about 4 hours from school to start playing.

I got my copy of the Collector's Edition Halo 2, and I must say it's pretty good. I noticed that the easy difficulty level seems to be easier than the first one though. either that, or I'm actually starting to get pretty good at the game for once....

I disagree... I think the easy setting seems a little tougher, sure the guys are easy to kill, but there are a butt-load more of them. I love the SMG's not the actual gun... but the rat rat rat sound they make... (heavenly) the graphics are a 10 outta 10, MC looks badass. And I like how you get an Alien pov and the Human pov, its a sweet game all around. What an awesome couple weeks... First San Andreas now Halo2... Screw the sequel never equals... These two just diddled the crap outta there predicesors!

I had like 8 siezures when I first held the box and went inot a coma when I started playing. Soo Amazing.

My favorite dual-weild is a pair of plasma rifles. They don't need reloading, and you can unleash a pretty good barrage on stuff.

the plasma rifles are pretty good, but im a man made weapon guy... dual smgs and pistols seems to kick some covenant ass... Unless Im the elite then it dual plasma rifles and a energy sword all the way.

Duel weilding, oh its so fun. A little bit of fun, a little bit of function. Duel pistols are pretty cool to screw around with. Duel Needlers are the best though.

The RedBull with vodka thing I already knew about (your not soposed to do that though it says so on the side of the can). I read it in Xbox magazine. That was still funny though. Do you know you can't have more than two Redbulls a day or its dangerous to your health? 80mg's of caffeine... Oh yeah!

Co-op is amazing. No lag, and it doesn't make the graphics any worse.

The cutscenes have some difficulty though. Oh well I love the game!

Are the pistols as powerfull in Halo 2? I saw on Bungie that they wouldn't be as powerfull.

Less powerful yes. They don't even have a zoom. They were killing machines in Halo so they decided to tweak them, and just about everything else also. But of course, its all for the better.

They are, "laughably weak." But it doesn't matter. THe battle rifle KICKS ASS. you get 12 shots (3 round bursts), with a scope.

Worst ending ever. Beat it on Normal and Heroic. Halo 2 has the worst ending ever in video game history. So abrupt. It's an insult to the million plus who are going to spend $50 on it.

It is pretty weird, but it just shows that there will be a Halo 3

I just beat the game last night Two days, wow but I probably played for a very long time yesterday. Anyhow, I didn't even know that it was the ending until after the cinematics, it showed all the credits. I think Halo was a lot longer than Halo 2. hmmm.... There probably is going to be a Halo 3 from the "weird" ending.

Of course there will be a Halo 3. MS needs a game to launch with the next gen, and there are not super-hyped games on the horizon from companies as financially vulnerable as Bungee was.

That game showed that a new Xbox needs to be made; It simply couldn't handle the graphics.

Worst ending for anything, ever.

Don't any of you like The Empire Strikes Back? If a story is obviously in a series, it doesn't need a resolute ending to justify it's existence. While I agree that when I beat the game I was anticipating learning about how the rest of things were going to play out, but at least it kept us interested and was an awesome game. The storyline was much more intricate than in Halo 1, and besides- if they had tried to tell the story that was hinted to at the end of Halo 2 the game would have been too huge. I'd rather have that huge next chapter in a game to itself.

Yeah if you look at it the way i look at starwars, In a New Hope they destroyed the first death star. In the empire strikes back it left you with a cliff hanger (Vader is lukes padre). And then Return on the Jedi just womped all the other movies... so Halo3, or what I believe will be called Ark: end of truth, will kick the previouse Halos ass.
