I am looking to modify my NiteFinder... I read how to mod it and I looked at all the other posts and stuff. I could only a find a 1/2'' pvc piece at the nearby store. It seems my darts fit very easily in the tubing with room to move around, unlike what has happened to other people (it has been a tight fit in their case). I was wondering if I even got the right barrel; I can't seem to find any brass 9/16 barrel, petg, or anything else. What do you suggest I do?

Also, I heard you can add rubber bands. How do I go about doing that? Like where do I place them.

Definately.

There is a button called "Modification" and you can use the Search Button to find a Nite Finder Mod.

Yes the first thing I looked under was Mods, and like I said, I couldn't find a petg or a brass tube, so I bought a 1/2'' pvc tube.

For the bands, place them on the plunger thing that comes out the back, and stretch it to the front of the gun.

Well, I'm assumeing you're using 5/8 in. FBR? If your 5/8 foam doesn't fit in PVC you'll just have to make micro stefans.You'll just have to buy a new roll of 1/2 in FBR for it to fit.

Actually I'm just using the normal darts that came with the gun. But now I read that you can make these Stefen darts, maybe that's my problem? I'm using the normal crappy darts instead of the Stefen ones?

The darts you are reffering to are called stock darts. These are the ones that come with the gun in the box or in the refill packs you can buy at department stores. I suggest you try getting around to making Stefans because;
a)you can make them in bulk
b)they have better performance if made well
c)they are alot cheaper to make

Try this page where you can buy PETG tubing online. If you want it for Micro Stefans (1/2" Foam Backer Rod) it is suggested you get the 5/8" size, due to the inner diameter of about 9/16". They accept PayPal for payment method as well as credit cards.

No, Actually, the reason for your crappy ranges is that stock darts don't make a good seal in 1/2" PVC alone. If you really want it to shoot stock darts better then may I suggest making a crayola barrel to place inside of the 1/2" PVC. That should work well for you. Otherwise, as TIG said, you really should make some stefans if you want maximum range.

Well, I just modded my NF 3 days ago. Its pretty good I got good ranges like 60-70ft. I just took a piece of cpvc and glued it on to that orange thing in the gun and took out the air restrictors and made a bigger hole so that the air has a dirrect path to the barrel and it worked great. Don't forget to put lots of rubber bands and/or a good bungee. It helps.

Wow Osiris I didn’t realize you were a graphic artist, is it difficult to design you own icon. You know maybe if you copy write your design material you wouldn’t have that problem. Or better yet don’t make your work available for others to down load download.

As far a the NF goes, crayola's or cpvc work well with stock darts...at least better than PVC.
