I have converted my CPS 2700 super soaker into a loser rifle, unfortunately it takes at least 30 pumps to go far. So I have an idea to hot glue a small portable air pump to the pipe where the pump goes in. Tell me what you think.

the kind of pumps you're likely to find easily/cheaply can't handle the pressure you want. the best idea is to reduce the size of the tank.

No, you'd increase the size of the tank. I titan uses a smaller psi than a at2k, but shoots farther.

Besides, how exactly do you know the PSI of a Titan and an AT2k?

Pump the titan and put your finger over the barrel, pull the trigger. Do the same with a 2k.

NSF: go Google up some basic pneumatics.

think about how big a compressor has to be to pump up a bike tire, similar pressure to a higher-powered nerf gun. those compressors tend to be about briefcase-size, so unless you don't plan to be moving under fire or at all, that's right out.
smaller than that, you're probably going to be dealing with special-purpose pumps, and those will cost more than the rest of your arsenal combined

If the gun itself is already big, you could just get one of those large foot-pumps for bicycles.

Check the PSI that thing goes to before you buy it. I HIGHLY doubt it's going to be anywhere NEAR enough to power a nerf gun. If it is, I congratulate you, conceed my mistake, and will promptly buy one if I can get my friend to buy it online for me.

Yes, yes, I do know that that pump moves next to no air, so it would take hundreds of pumps to get up to operating pressure. I'm not that dumb. Usually.

Those electric-pumps wont work. I am doing the same project as you, I am converting my CPS 2500. I have done many Super Soaker conversions including, Super Charger 600, CPS 1200, 2500, 4100, Monster, etc. I suggest you go to a welding supply shop and get a portable high compression oxygen fuel canister and connect it to your gun. Put a ball-valve in between and it should work great. Those canisters are in the range of $100-200. But it's a good project and the gun has a big "wow" effect when you show it off in a nerf war! Hope this helps.

What the hell do you mean? Attach, basically a CO2 tank that's up to AT LEAST 500 PSI and take a compressor ball valve to the tank? Like hell. I hope you'll have a good recovery in the emergency room when the plastic shards go 300 fps.

Well, if you use high-pressure rated piping, or just metal parts up to the barrel, I'm sure you're garunteed to be just fine.

And my dad was talking about that, he said that it would work, so I doubt that it wouldn't work.

Target has its' own brand of bike pump. $9.99 always. Don't even bother checking with their fucking website. Type in "bike pump" in the search engine and get results for Miami Vice........I hate that website so much.
