In your opnion are x-bows worth the $80+ price tag ( ;) ) attched to each one, even the ones NIB, I just couldn't justify paying $80+ for one nerf gun when you can buy say a BBB for $30 - 40 which gets nearly as far.

No. No nerf gun is worth $80.

I will say it is a good gun but for 80 you can pick up two n-strike sets, it is a high price to pay while other quality guns are still on the market and readily available, in most areas. So as long as people are willing to pay those prices then the market has been set.

Ender, I hope your not calling the Titan a quality gun...
Is it worth it, no.
IS it a good gun for maybe 30, yes.
Is it an excellent gun, yes.
There are plenty of other guns that perform better still on the market, like AT2k's. Blast Bazookas also perform fine. Don't bother getting an xbow if you can't find a good deal.

I’m simply putting the price in perspective of relative buying potential is all. I prefer the hornet in the set for overall practicality in a war.

I like gun that are easy to use, just one cock and your ready to fire.
Worth the price no.
I wouldn't spend more than 50 on 1 nerf gun and thats pushing it.

It all depends on the situtation. In many high schools around cincinatti they have Dart war competiotions in which people can take home as much a 2 grand if they win. $80 is alot, but if you really want one I go for it. People pay far more for other things that they enjoy as hobbies, whether it be paintball, airsoft, or skeet shooting. Relative to other nerf guns its high, but in the big picture its not too bad. I live by the philosophy on how much time you use something. If you have nerf wars 5 times a week, its worth it, in fact far more than buying a paintball gun and using it eery other weekend and wasting all your money on paint. The xbox has a good feel, is simplistic to modify, but once modded to its full extent the loading time isn't too much different from a sm5000 modded or a airtech2K modded.

Also, it can be aimed easier because it gives you more control than the Air Tech series and other guns.

Just for clarification, Don't compare the BBB's range to a Crossbows range. You can't increase a BBB's range without reducing its lifespan significantly. Their are many tweeks that can be done to a Crossbow and still keep it running smoothly for a long time.

Is $80 worth it? Supply and demand my friend, supply and demand.

It really is a superior blaster though. Many things can be done with that gun, though their are other guns that can get the decent "high" ranges.

The way I look at this sort of thing is: What Could I buy with this much money. For example if the crossbow cost $80 CAN, I could buy a ‘cube game for about that much so in my opinion it would probably be worth it. But if that was US I wouldn’t buy it because I could buy my self a warhammer army for $120 CAN.

Exactly my friend its all about the disposable income and your buying potential, if you have the money to meet the demand than hey pick one up you will definitely not be disappointed. If your new to the sport and hear a lot of talk about the awesome crossbow but are unsure of the price, it may not be the starting gun for you. Since a ton of quality guns are on the market for a lot less. But by all means if you find one cheap pick it up.
