VACC, actually Ompa was right. I didn't even have you in mind when I typed that.

You posted directly before and after (fairly obviously in response to) a post referring to my crossbow's configuration. The implication, weather you ment to make it or not, was that you were "talking about the big ranges" and therefore disregarding the idea of a stock barrel. The stock barrel is used in my crossbow and I was simply stating that I'd gotten pretty "big ranges" with that configuration.

When stupidity rears its ugly head, simply nod your head in agreement, for it's not worth arguing with stupidity.

Sorry for the confusion Vacc.

Luke, Rag's is an excellent mod. Also use Ninjz little plunger trick for more range.

I wouldn't do it... it wears down the gun, little by little, regardless of reinforcement.

It's increasing the plunger efficiency by wrapping tape around the plunger head.

if you do it right, you can use the stock barrel to do whatever you want.

My CB has the stock barrel and spring, everything on the CB is reinforced for the most part. I suppose you would call my mod a "modular" design. I have 3 different barrels that are interchangeable. One is a short mega barrel, another is a double length mega barrel, and the last is a barrel for micro darts (about 12" or so). My crossbow effectively fires megas and micros at similair distances (the micros seem to have a much higher velocity, however) and these barrels are easily interchangeable at any time.

In any case, my only point is that the stock barrel is useful for just about anything.
