It would not really be of any use except for getting a slight idea where the dart might go, or for scouting.
Slapping a scope onto a Homemade nerf gun like that would sort of be pointless due to the lack of power, range and precise accuracy in a Nerf gun. It would be, however, ok to put sights on a gun as such. Unless you have complete control over the movements of a ball valve like that to be accurate enough, don't even bother putting a scope onto it. Although it looks cool, it provides no use.
Though, personally, I use a 2x zoom telescoping...telescope on some of my more accurate guns like my brassed NF's and, once, on my PC.
So, even though this post came upon myself, I hope it shows you something. Something that I can't see...

So really, all you need to do is use the SEARCH button and seek this sort of information which may have been discussed before.
And if you want to see something funny, but understand something at the same time, see this.

A sight and a scope I think are usually classified as two different things. A sight is a more general, while a scope usually has magnification. A sight you could put on, but I really don't see why you couldn't just look straight down the barrel. But if you INSIST on putting a sight on it, why not just use a piece of pvc or something?

And notorious, just a word of advice, please attempt to use capitalization and punctuation within your posts, it just makes life easier on those browsing the forums. And it's part of the Code of Conduct. Thanks.

If you want a sight, just stick a peice of wire or something to the top of your gun or make a threaded scope. Be creative, you can use anything that works. If you want a scope, buy one.

In my opinion, however, I would not reccomend anything on a ball valve gun. If it is smal, it has got to be really awkward to turn the valve with your fave up to the butt of the gun.
